Developer soliciting fan input regarding multiplayer component for upcoming open-world action game.
Rockstar Games is looking to fans for feedback regarding Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer mode. An update on the developer's official blog today calls for input from fans regarding Crews in the much-anticipated upcoming action game.
Rockstar is not looking for anything very specific, saying feedback could involve competitive in-game features, new ways to manage and recruit players, ideas for how to enhance the Social Club Crew pages, and what they did or did not like about how Max Payne 3 handled Crews. In short, if gamers have any suggestions at all regarding Crews, they are encouraged to drop Rockstar a line.
Gamers eager to send Rockstar feedback can email the company at GTAVCrewFeedback@rockstargames.com. Players can leave comments in the post itself, but developers are more likely to review messages sent to the email address.
I don't play GTA games for multiplayer. Not every game needs a multiplayer element.
sorry "CASwim1111" couldnt agree more thats why copy paste:).
A zombie mode was something sadly missing from GTAIV. All you do is make all the civvies zombies and you have a fantastic new game mode. Add multiplayer into the mix, and you have one hell of a game.
After the fantastic zombie expansion for RDR, hopefully they do the same for GTAV.
You can jump across the river in GTA 4 from a few ramps, one is right by a safehouse you're given.
Actually the multiplayer in their games forces you to use auto-aim and is typically incredibly dumbed down, with way too much of an emphasis on headshots. Cheating is common and so are trollish clans who just gang up on new players leading to few people even trying to play. If the MP was so great, people would still play it. They don't and they probably will do the same thing with the next game. RDR full games are so few and far between there is no point trying to search for them. They should focus more on co-op and free roam like in Red Dead Redemption, that kind of multiplayer is fun and rewarding for everybody. And the more team-oriented, the less reason for any losers to cheat and hack. The versus is shamefully one sided and repetitive in Rockstar games. It's understandable though, when they test the games they play by the rules and balance the teams. That doesn't happen in the real community once it's released.
You have no appreciation for presentation, gameplay, and story. You you rather be able to get fat or have the 3 things above. If you want all that go play just cause, because GTA isn't going back to the horrible storyline of SA.

@UntraceableHaze i have faith that rockstar has enough brains to sit down and think over the ideas thrown at them and analize them figuring out what the pros and cons would be on both gameplay and what it could do to the franchise.
yes, just do a free-roam mode where zombies chase you. All game rules are exacly the same exept zombies can chase you everywhere.Rockstar did an amazing job with undead nightmare
Any and every time I hear about a company asking for fan input, I always picture the Funzo scene with the kids from The Simpsons. I like the thought, but design-by-committee always makes me go :/ . Then again, I'm sure (hope) that Rockstar will be able to manage the good from the ridiculous.
All I care about is an open world multiplayer free roam like they have now. They can add whatever they want as long as there is free mode. Always fun to jump in a game with random people going on cop killing sprees or street racing or chopper griefing ect. Good times. I do not want to be forced into any paticular play mode. One day I was in a game and I come across some random guy in a hummer trying to rock climb. You cannot replicate the crazy stuff that you see in free mode.
Bit less lag and better matchmaking, so you don't cycle through to the same match with an afk leader who people wont kick... Other than that the multiplayer on GTA4 was pretty good fun.
Dont you people realize that if you email them asking for mod tools , they the modders would be able to make all your dreams come true & create any of the things you want . Like a full on zombie survival mod (DAY Z) or a full conversion cyberpunk city like im working on,and so much more ,just look at how many mods there are for skyrim.
If you were ever going to send a request then modding should be that request , if you dont you only have yourself to blame for things not in game that you wish were.
thats only for pc players tho :( what about all the other thousands who play it on the consoles? They did a zombie type mode in RDR with undead nightmare and it was amazing
What would be very interesting is if they made GTA V have a zombie version with it like RDR did with the Undead Nightmare expansion. I would love to play in a GTA world with zombies. Sure it may take a while, but I think it would hit off very well. Maybe even better than Undead Nightmare did.
@Void_Kross I think if they did the zombies subject would get boring pretty soon. Zombies are very popular right now but there is no reason to make forced zombie mode just because it is popular.
GTA 4 was and still is perfect to me, I just feel a little limited when I look to the map and there's no possibility to create huge jumps (if it's not a ramp) like I can do in San Andreas or Just Cause 2, so, I think the only thing that I would love to see in this new GTA V is a map with different environments to the multiplayer and single too. Maybe an advanced physics for the bullet trajectory or environment destruction would be great too, I just don't care about Social Club or Crews because I don't even participate in clans on FPS.... I want to have fun destroying stuff!
Looking forward to the MP in GTA V. Mostly I just messed around in the free roam in IV. The best thing to me would really just be co-op in the main campaign, even if it's just in the way the Halo series does it and pretty much pretends it's still one player in terms of the story and cut scenes.
Really, just look at the comment section. The last thing Rockstar needs is advice from these whining morons.
Most of those comments are so depressing. Think about it people.
This is NOT EA or Activi$ion, its Take-Two and Rockstar - when have they ever sold us complete crap and then tagged on more crap at an extra price?.
GTA IV - Great single player ; Great multiplayer (when people managed to find it)
RDR - Supreme single player ; Supreme multiplayer (possibly because it was easier to find)
I cant think of a R* game that was a proper let down. Table tennis is the only game they made that I didnt like. . but it wasnt a poor game. I just dont find table tennis that fun.
Do you really think R* would let the core game suffer for the sake of adding multiplayer?, really?. They're one of the few remaining Devs that actually care about what they're making.
The popular opinion since the release of GTA IV seems to be "We just want to pretend were Snoop Dogg in his younger years and roll around in a lowrider being all 'gangster', were not intelligent at all and would prefer it if you treated us as such, Rockstar".
I can see why Developers are properly dumbing things down now.
@ssdd_again Well said! Rockstar takes much better care of their fans than many other companies do. They actually respond to your suggestions and put out dlc in tribute to fan requests. One such dlc for Red Dead had many of the things fans wanted, and it was free.
R*, focus on PC version instead of "Multiplayer". We don't want a PC port like GTA 4 again, make it like max payne 3 - PC version.
Why no ''10 year anniversary'' for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Sorry R*, but I play GTA for Singleplayer.
I hope they wait and release this for next gen consoles instead.
And they have bigger problems than multiplayer. GTAIV was pretty much a cardboard town full of boredom. Indoor enviroments with stuff to do. Actual shops and such.
And I know it's hard in practise but more realistic behaviour from the city people would be nice. Instead of popping in and out of existence it would be nice if they had little lives of their own. Maybe someday huh? GTAVIII?
As for multiplayer. I'd rather have a greater single player experience where I could build up my wealth with items and houses etc.
Let me pick what house to live in. Not for sale? Let me kill the owner and then buy it when it's back on the market. Let me tear it down and rebuild it as a luxury mansion. Let me rise to power with my own crime empire. And let me do it my way instead of via a campaign.
multiplayer? yeah I suppose. But make the game better first
@Saketume I agree on more continuity from the NPC's. When GTA3 came out, GTA became a smash hit for people because of its transition into a 3D world and some of the truly strange stuff people found and the small touches like hobos sitting around fires in sewer tunnels. It has ALWAYS been Rokstars strength to make ou feel immersed and the fact that the NPC's just pop in and out of existence keeps taking away from that. Think about it, Bethesdas games are being praised for taking significant steps in this direction and it would be cool to see other free roam games take more steps too (even if theyre not to the extreme extent of Bethesdas games.
@Saketume I think you are asking for a Life Simulator instead of a GTA game.
More Multiplayer free-roam, nothing beat f'in' around all day in GTA with a few friends and some recreational.
The ammo dumps from RDR were great in free-roam. And keep the weapon wheel.
Although a little restriction on load-out choice could be nice, instead of eventually having everything in your inventory.
Having to select your combinations of weapons always makes battle better.
GTA is definitely one of those games that needs to take the multiplayer component and flush it down the toilet.
Do people not realize that most of Rockstar's AAA titles have included multiplayer? When did any of Rockstar's games suffer because of a steadily increasing multiplayer experience? GTA4, Red Dead Redemption, and Max Payne 3 had multiplayer. In order the games presented a steadily increasing mutiplayer experience while maintaining some of the greatest single player experiences gaming has ever had to offer. Why would GTA5 noticeably suffer because they decided to continue the tradition? GTA5's multiplayer isn't going to be made from scratch, it's an improved version of the multiplayer in previous Rockstar games e.g. GTA4, RDR, & MP3
@TheologicVs GTAIV is the only game in that franchise to offer multiplayer outside of community mods for GTA:SA, which coincidentally did a much better job of handling multiplayer than even R*. It's not hard to see how R* might just 'balls up' another opportunity for immersive compelling game play.
How about the MP doesn't have any effect on the SP. I play GTA games for the story, the characters, the fun, and the sense of humor. I don't play them for MP!
