Saints Row 3 revealed

I'm definetly glad that they are making another SR. I just hope that they add much more things, like what they removed from SR1; like going on the subway. I know that in SR2 you can jump on to it, but in SR1 you can actually ride in it. Also, Maybe make the game a bit more serious. You can tell that in SR2 there can defenetly be very 'silly' moments. There wasnt much good clothing in SR2 and there were many ugly looking clothing that, unless you want yourself to look like a moron, you wouldn't wear. That brings me back the the 'silly' topic, but thats enough of that. I was thinking of maybe instead of the game taking place in Stillwater, maybe the Saints could go take over another city, and you could travel back to Stillwater by boat or air. I'm not asking for much more customization with the small details on the body and what-not, but just more clothing, weapons, and consumables. Overall, I am looking forward to SR3 for sure, but still does need some improvements, I am expecting lots more from THQ for, they have had a long time to make this game.

Id like the crazy stuff in SR2. But I like the GTA4 story and engine. Alos the aiming is better to. But in sr2 you get more guns and can customie your character. I hope it does take a darker turn

well some things they need to improve is physcis and better graphics plus effects like GTA4 like when u crash the car crincals up. Unlike SR3 when u hit something it just puts a dent. That needs to improve. they also should make the game more bloody. Well no matter what this game is gonna be the bomb.

i'm ready for the Row 3. I LUV the Row 2 me its better then GTA but i was never a fan.And Elvis ur right the 2nd one was dull but it was still fun just give use a date so i can pre-order

Saints Row is dramatic.I'm sure that's partly the point of the game. I'm hoping that in Saints Row 3 the entire environment will be more interactive. If I shoot anything with a rocket launcher it should shatter. Don't you think?There were too many buildings in Saints Row 2 that were just a part of the scenery.

i liked the first one but the second seemed a little too dull for me. Or a better way to put it it was way too over the top they over did it. I hope the thrid is like the first.

This next one might actually be able to compete with other major games. For this I hope you can import your character from the last, like in Mass Effect 2 that is all I really care about.

SR3 will be awsome, i totally enjoyed the first two SR games and i think think that SR2 was equal, if not better, to GTA IV. Although GTA IV was better in graphics and realism, but SR2 made up for that in gameplay, plot, humor, and its customization system. The Sr series has alot of potential to be one of the best sandbox games ever, lets just hope it doesnt change to much. I cant wait to see how SR3 will turn out and hopefully they will give us more info on it and maybe a trailer, this summer during E3.

Saints Row 2 for sure had a lot more to offer than GTAIV, and even San Andreas (even thought SA is still my favourite of all time). I hope they don't change too much for SR3, just upgrade the graphics to make them more realistic.

i hope they know what their doing and dnt pull a rockstar(GTA) and ruin there franchise

I also want to post my concern for a "New Direction" I want to see more insanely crazy and creative activities for me and my co-op buddies to amuse ourselves with in Saints Row 3

I've never had as much fun in a game as I have had with Saints Row 2. Period. This "new direction" worries me; I could always count on SR being overthetop insane fun. Hopefully that stays in tact

I can't believe how many people prefer the saints row series to GTA.... Saints 2 was kind of fun for a while but the all around physics of the game were so terrible, even compared to San Andreas. The online play in Saints Row 2 was terrible, the story mode has no depth.

i wish online was like da first Saint Row letting us creat our gang i loved saint row 2 but i did not play online unless it was co op with friends. if they would of had free roam in first saint row when u was in da pre lobby with ur gang dat would been hot also

gta 4 life, you can change ur name, just type the name u want on a name change forum. oh and i will be buying saints row 3. saints row 2 was just too awesome. im gonna wait to buy it tho, for fear it will be the equivalent of gta iv on the gta series. if so, i will absolutely not buy it haha.

looking forward to this! i hope they dont ruin things by this 'new direction' & they should include a freeroam online mode, like GTAIV. twas the only thing missing from SR2. other than that, it beat GTA hands down. so much more fun! still playing it now, the co-op mode is great!

Hopefully SR3 will have a brilliant Customization system when making a character, i liked the Character creation pre-game. That was definitely the best feature than won over GTA4, although some people found the dark, deep story of GTA4 boring and too deep, i found it good, to have such a anti-hero/evil-like protagonist. I hope SR3 has more to offer this time round, as there is a lot of potential.

i think that the saints row series has gone a long way. SR was just an okay game in my opinion but saints row 2 really satisfied me because you were able to drive boats, planes, and different stuff. I'm kinda glad that its takin a new direction because the missions were similar in both games.

God I hope SR3 doesn't go the way of GTA4. The "serious" story wore on me. The game, like all GTA's for me became monotonous after about 14 hours. I've always hated the "lock-on" and cycle controls of GTA. I like the SR2 driving controls and handling much more than GTA's. All reviews rag on SR2 driving, but GTA's were way more realistic and heavy and aggravating. I actually like the light story in SR. Dark is ok, but not the brand of dark GTA had. I also will be super-pissed if they change the FPS type combat and go to some sort of lock on mechanic. That would be the biggest mistake.

played gta since i was 10. owned and played every single one except for liberty stories and i must say saints row 2 blew gta4 out of the water. gta4 had story and looks but sr2 had humour, mass customization, story, far more replayability. rockstar better buck up with the next gta or sr3 could quite possibly take my fandom away

same here, was a gta fan from start, never played saints row, and b4 play sr 2 i thought it would be crap. But i love it, gameplay is longer and way more things to do that gta 4. Gta 4 beats it by realism, graphics and overall both games equal each other out. Can't wait for SR 3 though. Car customization was sick in SR2 though.

Now I'm pretty curious about one thing. In Saints Row 2 you had the character customization because in the previous game you had been blown up and suffered severe injuries. Since that haven't happened at all in Saints Row 2, how will they angle that feature into Saints Row 3?

My first time playing it was actually Saints Row 2, I didn't think i would like it because it wasn't as realistic as GTA, but it kind of grew and me and after like 5 rentals, I decided to just buy it.
