Space Harrier for the Wii? Really? Wonder how it plays, I used to love testing myself in that game.

Now if Nintendo would just port some of their Virtual Console library over to DSiWare, I'd love'em even more. note: I own both Wii and DSi. I love'em to both to death.

Hey people, what's wrong with "Eduardo the Samurai Toaster" then? It's a Contra-esque run'n'gun shooter after all. Should give it the benefit of a doubt before dismissing it outright.

Again gamespot promotes some bad Wii games in an attempt to make the Wii look bad. To think I havent seen an article on the release of Final Fantasy IV the after years.

Ahhh...so these games...are why they are releasing Wii-Demo...so you can let the system play these titles....

The Brave Little Toaster, the protagonist in the eponymous 1980s kid's movie, has learned that courage is no match for his potential nemesis, Eduardo the Samurai Toaster. The more formidable appliance stars in a game that is part of this week's offerings in Nintendo's weekly download slate.

In Eduardo the Samurai Toaster, players and up to three other friends assume the roles of anthropomorphized toasters through 13 levels of side-scrolling action. The toasters vanquish their enemies ("dastardly food products") with an assortment of pastries. Players can hop onto laser-mounted scooters and don rocket packs as they buzz across the screen. The game is available for 800 Wii points ($8 ).

In Sega's multiplayer party game Let's Catch, participants test their agility through in-game features such as speed catch, which gauges the player's ability to catch a fastball. It's a counterpart to Let's Tap, and customers unlock special features when they own both products. The game costs 1,000 Wii points ($10). TAITO's Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure is a one- to two-player game in which players ascend a celestial tower while defeating aerial foes with their rainbow-magic powers. Players can choose between a story mode and a time-challenge mode. The game costs 800 Wii points ($8 ). Sega's 1985 arcade classic Space Harrier is available through the Wii's Virtual Console this week for 800 Wii points ($8 ).

Nintendo has also added a pair of new titles for the DSiWare shop this week for 200 Wii points apiece ($2). Mario Calculator is a franchise-themed calculator, and Mario Clock is a themed clock that also features a coin-collecting game based on Super Mario Bros.
