Scribblenauts Remix domain name registered
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's URL registration hints at new entry in imaginative puzzle game franchise.
5th Cell's Scribblenauts series burst onto the scene in 2009 with the well-received original, which has since sold more than 1 million units. A sequel--Super Scribblenauts--shipped in 2010 and did not fare as well with critics. Now, it appears a third entry is on the way.
Franchise publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has grabbed www.ScribblenautsRemix.com (as spotted by Superannuation). This domain name registration hints that the publisher is seeking to build a third entry in the creation-based series. And its name, Remix, suggests the game may in some way incorporate elements from the first two installments in the series.
Bellevue, Washington-based developer 5th Cell created the first two Scribblenauts games and is currently working on a postapocalyptic third-person shooter called Hybrid. That game was recently delayed to the first quarter of 2012.
