Square Enix teams up with Just Cause developer for new project - Report

Avalanche has one of the most interesting titles (such as Just Cause 2)...waiting for more fun titles to come out.

Didn't anyone notice the giant Square-Enix logo at the beginning of Just Cause 2?  Nothing new.  Though I am excited to hear about these projects.

I really hope to see a multi player in Just Cause sequel and i guess we won't see some next gen consoles for quite some time.

i am going to play die hard , I like my PS3 and feel no need for a PS4 ? NONE

 what so ever ! PS3 has shown me all I ever need in a console and I don't respect

 the future so called high tech. all they did with cars was to add gadgets and more things to go wrong ! you will want to get extended warranty because this is another

 part sony will expect to pick up more cash ! I am not a critic this is my personal feeling about the future of anything ? ..

Just Cause 3 with up to 4 player co-op or just plain multiplayer mode is what I am dearly hoping for!!!

JC 2 was honestly one of my favorite games of this console generation. So much fun to be had.

JC 2 was excellent in many ways.  Huge fun.  No wonder they continue their relationship.  Any game these guys make I will have high expectations for.   

I really just want a multiplayer Just Cause. Grappling hook stunts are awesome in this game, and the compilations by Waken4Productions would be even more amazing with two people.

SE team up with JC dev... AGAIN... should be the headline... If they were a US company, they would own the JC company by now...

Maybe one day I will opena Square Enix article and they will announce Kingdom Hearts 3. *sighs* How could they abandon such a great series? And no I DON'T count handheld spin-offs.

Hmmm... we'll shall see.

Man every time I see an article with "Just Cause" I squeal like a little girl!One of these projects better be Just Case 3 or something of that sort.

So i'm predicting it's going to be an action RPG shooter sandbox thing. A Borderlands with Just Cause gameplay? That would be awesome.

Just Cause 2 was fun, but I seriously hope they get rid of the bugs that plagued the first game. It lost my saves and I had to start it over twice.

Another Action game? Now that's a shocker! xD I do hope they keep the open-world design though.

I'm looking forward to this. Just Cause 2 was amazing, it's definitely the best OTT open world game I've ever played.

Just cause was a boring game, i dont have a good feeling about these, After all Square enix is the Puppil of Capcom. And I still waiting for the damm FF versus.

All games are "ground-nreaking".

Definitely looking forward to the next Just Cause game.

On a side note, I'd like to see that game engine used for an Action RPG.  It would be great.

justcause3.com is owned by a cybersquatter, so I wonder if they are just going to be goofy and go straight to Just Cause 4.

Sqaure Enix recently got rights to the 'justcause4' domain.... now they team up with the makers of Just Cause..... well, this seems predictable.

I prefer Squex doing RPGs

The constant delays and total lack of news are really annoying!

Well they were "all up in Eidos' business" before anyway, so now that Squeenix owns Eidos, this is hardly a surprise.

...Also, when it comes to games, "ground breaking" means nothing. Game advertisers have used hyperbole to such an insane extent that no adjective sounds impressive.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy, my excitement knows no bounds!

Let's hope that SE is actually going to do something right this time.... I'd hate to see whatever they're thinking up be a total failure. Sad to say, but this company was stronger when it was actually two separate entities competing against each other.

Who do I have to kill to have an action Final Fantasy in a huge open world like Just Cause's?

I have big hopes for the Avalanche engine's future, there's a lot of potential there.
