Survey hints at Assassin's Creed's future

Only two ideas...Greece or Turkey.Maybe they should introduce a new character with some change to the Assassin robe and equipment.I think Greece should be better because Greece has been a historic cultural advancement for all of Europe.

i dont think it'll be in japan, maybe americas or egypt because, not to be racial or anything but in all the AC's, there is a resemblance, for example ezio altair and desmond all resemble each other and have the same scar and i can't see that resemblance in japan where he would stick out

I could see something like the revolution happening if the Templars during the 1700's plan to move their following to the america's...Benjamin Franklin could be like the new Da Vinci...Possible some "National Treasure' like settings. Also England has many beautiful established settings during this period. The trip to the Americas could be an second part like Brotherhood was. ...but I would prefer something like Hong Kong/Shanghai during the early 20th century or earlier...I think it may be the marathon of Bruce Lee movies fogging my judgement. Could add more to the combat part of the game...perhaps even mix China/Japan by means of traveling.

Whatever they decide on, it has to be somewhere with a lot of stuff to climb on. Assassin's creed wouldn't be the same without being able to jump from building to building. I don't know a whole lot about feudal japan, but I don't know how they could pull it off while still keeping the essence of AC.

yea i think it should either take place as Desmond in a Future City setting..and what R3NeGaDeAnGeL said also include the "Adam and Eve" Story plot..when i saw the complete video all i wanted to do is find out more about the time line.. and what they were running from?.

As others have(annoyingly) mentioned, I think Feudal Japan would be pretty cool...this intermingled with Desmond in the extreme distant past of the time of Adam and Eve, with the ancient beings and their crazy futuristic buildings and pyramids...it would be in the "past" but be futuristic in nature. Crazy, yes, but it just might work with all that happened in the ending of Assassin Creed 2 and Brotherhood...

@Tertianfire we'll srry I don't have perfect grammar. At least I'm not an English Major. I feel that if you have suffice knowledge about history the you should know that they've existed in Japanese History. If I offend u in any way then I apologize and I know I said something I shouldn't have.

I would like the story to show real progression instead of just retreading old ground. Let's start moving toward the present time in the story and the potential for a present time AC. Also, I would like to see more open assasin experience. As fun as AC is, I still think Hitman felt much more free and open with how you could beat the missions. And honestly, I'm getting tired of the movement mechanic.

Assassin's Creed in feudal Japan would be sweet. Like an open world Tenchu, only much, much better, and with Ninjas!

@Linkari i was thinking the same thing ;) and there is a lot that they can 'tie in' to the AC story during the revolution, and i hope they do go that way, i just dont see AC becoming some Sniper game picking off nazi generals,

I'd love it if they portrayed the comic book plot through the game, But the one thing I hope doesn't happen so soon is when they go late into history with guns and stuff, I don't want AC to become a full on shooter, I love the sword fighting, the throwing knives and other cool stuff. I like that they choose places in history that arn't often explored. But seeing someone in Assassins robes in a WWII setting would be kinda odd.

All the news about AC3 before brotherhood came out was about a japanese feudal age setting... while a newer age sounds interesting im not quite ready for it yet. i wanna assassinate some ninjas first XD

I heard a very early rumor shortly after the original Assassin's Creed that the sequel was to be set in France during the French Revolution. I wouldn't mind AC3 doing that, jumping off the highest point of Notre Dame only to land safely in a bale of hay when your body should be splattered all over the cobblestones.

I always thought colonial times would be an awesome setting for the next game. I mean not necessarily in America though that would also be interesting, but anywhere in the 1600s or 1700s. You hardly ever see this time period used in games, I think it would be really cool.

CisQo5, the comic of AC was based in Russia. I can tell you know though, I see AC3 being based in Egypt due to the fact the Codex Edition of AC brotherhood has an art card inside depicting an Assassin standing next to an ancient pyramid with in the desert. May not be but its a damn good guess I would say ^^

The most likely setting for the next would probably lie somewhere around late 16th to late 17th century British Ilse. lots of Templar history there, and the political climate of the area at the time would lend to Assassin's Creed. That would also leave a large enough gap in time to make it to the US for a Romp through key colonial locations to stab and shoot people. It wouldn't be hard for the Assassin's to send him thru 2 more ancestors in the 2 months leading up the the deadline they're trying to meet giving us a conclusion with Desmond as master assassin in trying to save us from the Mayan predicted end of the world

i think a new character and a new location would be great. ezio wa great but i think it is better for a new assassin. what is more, desmond should also become the ultimate assassin, and so players would have the hcance to play both with desmond and the animus assassin in order to locate the pieces of eden

this is what i think ok if it goes modern then Desmond might be in america,so i think a modern Assassin's Creed is just isnt there yet,and i think either in France Egypt american revolution England but i have more in thought,but i think its the developers choice,and whenever they say im ready

A new character and new setting would be cool... maybe change the setting to East Asia will be cool.... then again In AC II there were 6 other assassins in the tomb in the basement of the villa so any one of them would work fine...

In a way I'd like to see them stick with Ezio, but at the same time, another ancestor in another time would be cool. It would just be hard to top Ezio/Renaissance Italy. I'm really curious to see what direction they go with it. I have a feeling Desmond may take the main role. Perhaps we'd play in cities all over the world looking for more Pieces of Eden. That would be pretty cool.

I know it's kind of random, but a Native American ancestor would be pretty cool. Not sure how they'd make it work, but it would make for a great surprise.

Ezio needs to stay a few more games before they move on

I'm kinda happy sticking with Ezio. I thought Altair was cool but I've become very attached to Ezio. Maybe it's because I loved AC2 so much and Ezio had a lot of personality... unlike Altair, who I knew nothing about.

@ Entimus How far did you get into the survey? Don't feel bad. I'm from America (which has nothing to do with me not matching the 'demographic criteria') and I got stopped after I entered my gender (male) lol so I tried re-doing the survey but entering as female and it worked. Hmmm so they're reeaally trying to reach out to the women in this next title??? C'mon!

I really think Egypt will be the next place they go simply because of all the mythology associated with its culture. Anyone who has played Assassin's Creed knows how they draw a lot of their story from mythology from all over and really Egypt if chocked full of it. I can't really imagine who the game would look or play, but I would buy it to find out.

I don´t match the demographic criteria. How is it possible that they leave the south american market without the possibility to give our opinion. Definitely I´m not buying the original brotherhood or the next title. I´d rather buy it from the guy that sells games and movies on the curve.

I think the French Revolution would be a great place to go. Don't really mind where they go. I love Assassins Creed
