Tekken Tag Tournament 2 launch details announced
Australian release date and collectors edition bundle revealed; includes game, 200-page art book, and two soundtracks.
Australian fighting game fans rejoice! Japanese developer Namco Bandai has announced the local release date for the latest iteration in the Tekken series, Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The title will feature the largest cast of characters to date, including free DLC characters--Michelle Chang, Angel, Kunimitsu, and Ogre--to those who preorder the game ahead of the launch.
Players will also have the chance to order the "We Are Tekken" edition of the game, which includes exclusive metal-case packaging, an original soundtrack, a remixed soundtrack, a 200-page art book, and a behind-the-scenes video with series producer Katsuhiro Harada and other special guests. Pricing has not yet been revealed.
The game will introduce a new Fight Lab mode, which enables players to customise the moves and appearance of new training character Combot. The character can then be used in unranked online matches and offline.
As per the previous Tekken Tag Tournament game, up to four players can each control a single character in pair-play mode for team battle. Additional modes include one-on-one and solo-vs.-tag-team battles, each with its own fighting game experiences.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 launches on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Australia and New Zealand on September 13, this year.
