I've played the game a few times. When I last completed the game which was a few minutes ago,the guy in ep5 said that I allowed something to happen to Clementine in ep2 which was not true and the game stats at the end said I helped Kenny do something in the meat locker in ep2 which was also untrue. If there are still problems with game choices carrying over from episode to episode on ps3 I don't have much faith in Telltale enabling game choices to carry over from ps3 to ps4 for season 2.
The second season of popular episodic adventure series could allow players to import choices from the first season.
The next season of Telltale Games' Walking Dead episodic adventure series could allow players to carry over their choices from the first five episodes of the game.
Speaking with Red Bull UK, Telltale Games CEO Dan Connors told the site that the studio is currently figuring out how to carry saves over from the first season, which ended last November with the release of The Walking Dead: Episode 5 - No Time Left.
"Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two," Connors said in the interview. "This all remains to be seen, but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over."
Although Connors did not elaborate on what the next season of the Walking Dead game will hold, he did reveal Telltale's ambitions for future projects, including the possibility of a Star Wars title.
"Coming from LucasArts, we always felt we could do a great Star Wars story game. We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise, something like Half Life Stories or Halo Stories."
The first episode of The Walking Dead--released in April last year--was downloaded more than 1 million times across the PC, Mac, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live in two weeks. The fifth and final episode of the first season was the top-selling PSN title in November.
Telltale's Walking Dead is a single-player episodic game based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series. It stars Lee Everett, a man convicted of a crime, but given a chance to redeem himself, albeit in a world infested with the undead.

I would hope so, I'd want my choices to have some sort of impact going forward. Can't wait for future news about the second season, though I feel it's going to be a quite a bit of a wait...
well that would only make sense... this also shows characters like clem and omid and them will most likely be in it. if they arent, then what choices would they be trying to import?
@theslovakian38 Whether or not the new batch of characters stumble across a strangely familiar severed arm.
I dont know how i feel about this. I dont think they have the manpower to pull this off. The game is amazing, but its a buggy mess even months later. Dont get me started on the retail version which is absolutely unplayable (visit their forums and see), its borderline criminal they continue to sell it and its current state.
I have not seen the polish of the product to suggest they can do this correctly. (Im speaking from a technical point, not story wise). Then again $40 mil. is a lot of money to bring the QA up to speed with the rest of the product.
Won't be picking it up. I enjoyed the game, but the save game bug was really frustrating. I don't want to be forced to restart the game another 4 times.
@Ground_Zero yea i know i dont understand that. the only time it worked was when i just downloaded the episode each month. now i cant even continue on to the other episodes when trying to replay them : /
Honestly, id kill to see their vision of star wars. It would be anything but just another star wars game.
If only they were still making regular episodes for season 1. There would be a new episode coming out around now, and I could carry on my emotional roller coaster :(
Oh well, heres hoping season 2 isn't far off.
If it is any form of a continuation of the story from before I would expect not less, if it is a continuation and i can't carry over my save, you won't see me playing season 2

**** ALERT: MINOR SPOILER ****
I almost laughed when I saw the ending of Titanic, but I can't shake the way Clem cried "Lee" as he lay dying on the floor... It's a big deal for me because I never thought I'd ever (in my lifetime) connect to a virtual character on that level. It was a disturbingly sad moment...
I'm really hoping they continue with the current story and have no more of those Save/Load issues.
Talltale games should make season 2 of Walking Dead a branching storyline based on the decision players make. It would make game feel more personal and involving than the regular roller coaster storyline.
I enjoyed the game series but was very disappointed that choices barely affect gameplay and the storyline. I was really looking forward to playing each episode numerous time for multiple outcomes. I replayed a few episodes three or four times, then I played the last episodes twice. I realized about halfway through I would not be getting a choose-your-own adventure game.
It doesn't matter if choices carry over, although I just assumed they would. Even if they do, it won't make much difference
@gatsbythepig The thing about the game is, that even if the choices didn't really matter at the end, it changed how the main character was viewed by everyone in the group. The game tried to portray what you did with others to change yourself, instead of changing the main storyline directly.
@gatsbythepig Well it was their first game. I'm sure the newer ones will be more freeform / have more important choices
Still waiting for the retail version to come to Europe to play it...But it's good to know they're carrying over the saves.
I don't know why this wearisome game should be the first to implement such a long-overdue and frankly axiomatic addition...And AREN'T PEOPLE TIRED of watching disreputable anti-heroes kick rounds into a moving wall of undead that would in reality probably rot to nothing before it 1) ever reached the 'beleaguered' defenders or 2) managed to land a good hit when their heads have wagged backwards by nothing more than inertia from their swaying?? And for those that can't open a box of cereal without getting flustered, I think zombie scenarios are ridiculous.
@tgwolf I agree mostly, zombie scenarios are overplayed and ridiculous in that "it's not realistic" type way, similarly to how vampires are ridiculous, etc. However, I played this game for the characters, not the zombies. I never watched the show and/or read the comics and I was glad that it didn't ever pick up that "Left 4 Dead" vibe
I'd say that if they can't make it work organically then don't try and shoehorn it in as a feature. I was fine with it when it seemed like it would be all new characters and I think most people would be too.
Cool beans, I definitely want to see more. The game was amazing, and probably the only game that really made me think about my choices and care so much about the characters.
@Homeless-_- What you really meant by wanting to 'see more' was to study the hypnotically-swaying decay patterns on their nauseating faces and ample fountains of gore as the flesh pigeons get popped...That's all you would be seeing anyway.
Amazing game. Started it this week-end and Im almost done through Ep. 3 all I can say is Im sold. Feels just as good as watching a TV show where you get to at least put your grain of salt in it. I enjoyed the part where you chose to save her or let a girl get eaten so you can have more time to loot the drugstore, stuff like this is what decisions in video-games should be like. Sucks I couldnt save Carley tho :( dumb bitch Lilly
I wonder, too, if I could drive Lily to not kill or kill Ben ... he is too dumb, at least Carley was the most sane and thrustworthy of the whole group ...
The absolute end of the story might be the same, but there's plenty of potential variation in plot points throughout. Id be interested in seeing how a save import would play out. That said, I'd be interested in a season 2 no matter what! Also, a Star Wars title of similar type and quality to the Walking Dead would have my money.
I dont think thats necessary. After all no matter what choices you made in the first 5 episodes the end result would ALWAYS be the same. There was only 1 path you could follow so this is pointless.
@Kr3isen Some detail could be important to the story of the future series, but by the time they finish making the next 5 episodes, we may all forget about them. Thus, I suggest them start up from the scratch.
The Walking Dead game is not as good as the TV series version. Its cartoon style makes it less realistic. The way the story delivered in the game is shallower than the movie. There're not much alternative ways to play it. In the end, it lead to the same result in most cases. For example, all of the characters you choose to let them live will soon all die. That's a cheap way the developers do, so they don't have to deal with them in later chapters. That make the future of the game predictable. Comparing the aspects of TV series to the game, I find the first mentioned one more immersive. By the way, it's not a bad game. It'll be awesome for newcomers I guess.
@jark888 somebody hasnt read how the comic is it seems. you read that youll understand what futility means and why the game is how it is
@helljumper817 I heard that the game is the prequel of the comic. After glancing through the comic I found that TV series took most of it from that .
@jark888 hmm...I personally thought that the game's story was better than the TV show.
@superbuuman Seriously? Well, at least I find one person with the total opposite opinion to mine.
@jark888 A lot of people loved the story segment of the game and loves the fact that it's based on the comic, rather than (to them) the not-as-good tv-series. You're in the minority from what I've heard, but that doesn't matter since your opinion is as good as theirs. Just wanted to share my view of the general view on the game versus the tv-series.
Personally, I have only seen the tv-series' first season (not read the comic) and I liked it a lot. I'm not into adventure games, so I haven't played this game and have too many other excellent games to catch up on, to do it anytime soon.
@Hurvl From what I know, there're more than one million download the game from various sources( PC, PS3, Xbox360), but there're at least 20 millions watched the latest episodes of the TV series. I guess most of that figure doesn't happen to be in game website.
Was... I the only one who was EXPECTING there to have save imports automatically? xD I didn't finish this (amazingly beautiful) game thinking "Well, that was a good run, can't wait to start fresh in season 2"
