The Settlers series to continue
Ubi Soft's Blue Byte studio is working on another game in its Settlers real-time strategy series.
Ubi Soft's Blue Byte studio has announced that it is developing a new game in the Settlers real-time strategy series. The game will use a 3D engine, and it will be released worldwide for the PC and console systems. No official release date for the game has been announced.
"This new game from the cult series will undoubtedly widen The Settlers' audience," said Odile Limpach, managing director of Blue Byte. "Our production team is currently focusing on innovative 3D technology and absolutely new game features." According to the developer, one of the new features of the game is the way conflicts between tribes are carried out.
The most recent game in the series, The Settlers: Fourth Edition, was released last summer. The series has sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwide since its launch in 1994. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the Settlers games.
