High Moon has done shooter games for the most part (the recent Transformer games), so I'll hold my anticipation on this.
Activision and High Moon Studios tease new game announcement during "Marvel Video Games" panel at Comic-Con 2012 next week in San Diego.
It appears the studio that created Transformers games War for Cybertron, Dark of the Moon, and the upcoming Fall of Cybertron are building a title based on a Marvel property. The recently published Comic-Con 2012 programming schedule indicates Activision and High Moon Studios will make an announcement during a panel titled "Marvel Video Games."
Also during the panel--to be held on Saturday, July 14--Gazillion Entertainment will talk up its Marvel Heroes massively multiplayer online game, and Ubisoft plans to show off Avengers: Battle for Earth.
The latest game to be released based on a Marvel property is last week's The Amazing Spider-Man, which was developed by Beenox. High Moon Studios' Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is due out on August 28 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. For more on that game, check out GameSpot's latest preview.
Heyy they should make a Mavel vs. DC game
"Marvelbots wage thier battle to destroy the evil forces of the DCepticons!" :P
@doolindesperado Agreed, though I just think that some powers were kinda recycled and some missions were a little too long and boring... But yeah, I surely had some fun with XM Legends 2. If at least they worked on that...
Marvel should work on another "X-men mutant apocalypse" since old-school like games are getting so famous nowadays. Take Hard Corps or Castlevania Harmony of Despair for example
Please let it be like inFamous... Those games are what Marvel should be making. Their comic books, characters and films are second to none but their games are always hugely disapointing. (Except hulk ultimate destruction and X-men Legacy from the PS2 era).
@The-Neon-Seal Couldn't agree more. Marvel's been releasing some really shitty games lately... take x-men destiny, one of the laziest and most poorly developed game i've ever seen...
@chavao666 I wanted to play X-Men Destiny. But from what I have heard, and what you said, I will be taking all the advice to stay away from it. Who knows, we just might get a good X-Men game again from these fellows at High Moon.
@doolindesperado I highly reccomend you check it for at least 10 minutes just to see how lazy some gaming companies can be...I swear to you it looks like the game was made in only 1 week.
Could this not have waited until Comic-Con has come and gone? At least we'd have something tangible to talk about then.
I find it amazing that we don't even know what the game is and half the comments here are already writing it off as crap.
@higherflyerJ I want ultimate alliance 3 too. More like alliance 1 where you could actually have the heroes you choose instead of being forced to change them all the time like 2 (still loved 2).
why is evryone giving high moon crap? they brought us transformers WFC granted it was okay but then again all first of the series are only ok just like movies it jumps the first movie introduces you characters and th estory plot etc etc so that the other movies setup can kick ass!! has no1 seen the footage for fall of cybertron??? its gona be epic that being said i hope they do marvel right and not make it based off the movie
Don't let High Moon Studios make the a Marvel Game. The failed so badly on Transformers. Transformers War for Cybertron was really good despite many bad issues and bugs on PC. The game related to the movie was just extremely bad. You couldn't choose which side to be on. The new one doesn't include CO-op either. The Co-op mode was the little thing that made War For Cybertron that good too. If you have to make a game, then it should be Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. But make it similar to the second game. And try to do something new with the camera angle. No more Diablo or league of legends angles, but real third person gaming. And free-roam.
Please Please PLEASE make Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3 or something similar. I've played the first Ultimate Alliance off and on for about 7 years now and I never tire of it.
Transformers Fall of Cybertron is my most anticipated game of the year. Whatever these guys make will be on my radar. Oh Transformers War for Cybertron was/is my favorite game this gen so far. I cant wait to see what else they make.
this game better be open world where u can actually roam around and beat up bad guys all of the city
Garbage company got more work? Apparently there is no recession and beggars can't be choosers.
Or, animation companies are resigned to licensing movie-game quality products that make people hate them for a profit.
Hopefully it's not a movie based game (Avengers or something). I like High Moon but their licensed Transformers game for 3rd movie was crap.
Of course awesomeness of War for Cybertron and DarkWatch overshadow it but still...
If High Moon was their own developer or with a different publisher [Take2, Ubisoft, Bethesda] I'd buy their games new......as it is I'm not feeding Activision so........
This is the same for ALL of Activision's developers, there's some good talent there but they are all with the wrong publisher.....
While the best Transformers game, War for Cybertron was not a great game. The characters were not really unique in a transformers and the game was filled with generics. In addition to that the transformations didn't seem to add much to the gameplay.
