Ubisoft's downloadable racing series hits new sales milestone; "Gold Edition" for PC due March 21.
Ubisoft's Trials franchise has raced to a new sales milestone. The company today announced the series has sold over 4 million units since the original Trials HD launched in summer 2009.
A specific title-by-title sales breakdown was not provided.
In addition, Ubisoft announced today that Trials: Evolution Gold Edition will be released March 21 for the PC. The game includes the complete Trials Evolution game, as well as every track from Trials HD. It was developed by Ubisoft Shanghai under the supervision of series creator RedLynx.
I would still love this on ps3, but at least now I can get it on pc... Too bad march feels like a long time to wait, and the recent article on gamespot about user created levels had me very interested in playing it.
Hopefully the map making process will be at least 20% faster because of shortcuts and the new dlc functions. My only concern is that it will split the creative comunity, so if they don't make user maps available on both systems (cross platform) it's going to ruin the game a bit. Hopefully they'll be smart enough to make it possible.
If it doesn't require uPlay, I'll probably get it for the occasional rage-quit fun.
If uPlay is required, I'll wait until it's not.
Your choice whether you want my money or not, UbiSoft.
Trials is one of the best XBLA games to date. Evolution is much more accessible than HD was. I was actually able to gold medal alot of the hard tracks in Evolution, while I couldn't even complete more than a few in HD. The extreme tracks are still out of my league though. I wish they would make alot more easy & medium tracks so everyone gets to play most of the game.
Finally!!! I got jealous with Danny and Seb playing it all the time in Community Service on the 360 while I only have a PC. Thank you!!
@GunnyHath I should add that it's a great game, and I'll begrudgingly buy a second copy to play it on PC.
@gamebuyer22 How is Trials overpriced?
I have had more fun with Trials Evolution and Shadow Complex (both 15 bucks) than I have with may full priced PC and console games...(oh if I could only turn my clock back to May of last year...Diablo 3 would not have stolen my 60 dollars....)
@megadeth1117 I don't think they care much about the soundtrack , but the steelcase is one hell of a good item.
Great News. I still need to download the expansion content for Trials Evolution. The game is awesome.
