Naughty Dog teases Flashback Map Pack #1, showing Uncharted 2-inspired arenas; Killzone 3 character skin pack now available.
Thus far, Sony and Naughty Dog have only updated their highly regarded Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception with new multiplayer character skins. That continued with Sony's PlayStation Store update today, with Killzone 3 skins added into the mix. However, today's release also brought word on a more substantive addition to Uncharted 3: multiplayer maps.
In a post to Sony's PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog revealed that the first multiplayer map pack for Uncharted 3 will be titled Flashback Map Pack #1. Sony teased two of the maps that will be included in the add-on with images titled The Cave and The Fort. Though Naughty Dog did not explicitly say so, the maps appear to be based on Uncharted 2's The Ice Cave and The Fort maps.
Sony has not yet announced when the Flashback Map Pack #1 will be available or how much it will cost. However, it will be included with the Fortune Hunter's Club. The downloadable content program is priced at $25, and it includes the first four multiplayer map packs and first three multiplayer skin packs for Uncharted 3, a $45 value.
As for today's multiplayer skin pack, gamers will be able to don three different Killzone 3-themed duds: Capture Trooper skin, the ISA helmet, and the Helghast helmet. The skin pack comes included with the Fortune Hunter's Club, and it costs $1.49 bought stand-alone.

Although these maps remade looks quite cool, they at least could've released some new maps BEFORE they brought out maps that we've just been playing in U2
@Soothsayer42 So? Just because it is its first DLC doesn't excuse the developers from being lazy. I'd never pay for UC2 maps in UC3. What kind of stupid logic is that.
@pez2k_ WTF?! I earned $700,000+ cash in Subway multiplayer thinking I could spend it on the Single Player unlocks after beating the game. So after you beat it and replay it on Crushing, that's it? This really bites. Sadface. :( Damn you whichever that caused this online-focused crap. Damn you to hell.
@spacerac: No singleplayer unlockables whatsoever. Cuts out all of the replayability, I'm guessing that after your 8 hours of SP you're meant to just play multiplayer, like the COD series.
Already a member of The Fortune Hunters' club. Although I did expect some brand new maps rather than redone versions of the earlier ones.
Im not saying that Im going to buy it but read it carefully it's written that Fortune Hunter's Club costs you $25 which contains all 4 map packs, they are not saying that the map pack itself costs $25. I was just clearing up the confusion.
They should take some locations from Uncharted 1 and turn them into MP maps. That would be cool, as long as they won't overprice it anyway...
@jimmyzeke13 wait what are you talking about? You can't unlock things in single player like in the first two uncharteds?
I said to myself from the beginning that I wouldn't be buying any DLC unless it was worth it.. And this ain't worth it. Expansions packs I'll happily buy, but throw-back map packs? Not a chance. The big developers all seem to be heading down the same route now.. :?
@pszone - and it's everyone elses choice on here if they want to moan about it.... I don't feel like moaning about it, but I won't be bothered if others want to. Like you, I'll vote with my wallet and won't buy it. If people really want to comment about it, that's what a comments section is for, both positive and negative thoughts
Nothing is original anymore. Dont get me wrong, I love Uncharted 3 & Call of Duty, but they are just 2 examples of the Map packs that are all old things we have already seen...
Look dont comment if you going to moan at it. you dont have to buy it do you. my choice to me that im not buying this dlc
@nightshade869 Read more carefully the first 3 skin packs and 4 map packs. That's probably only 8 maps. ****you naughty dog for giving us old maps again
@mdchapel9 true story...that's why after my disappointment with spending $65 on U3, in light of all this DLC and season pass crap, I refuse to buy games on release date and will wait for price drops. I was lucky to be able to trade in U3 and a few PS2 games for Skyrim where I at least felt I got my $ worth. If scams like this continue, I may stop gaming altogether
@HipHopBeats I totally agree with you, I find it funny how some of these newer Gen. gamers find excuses for the people who steal there money. example: "Awesome only $5.00 bucks for a New Character thats cheap!" or "Sweet $5.00 bucks for vs mode on RE5 which was already in the game just needed to pay the dlc to unlock it." What asad sad gaming world we live in...
Thing that has kept me from playin UC3 online is that I bought all the DLC maps for UC2, and what did they do? "refitted" those maps and placed them in UC3 instead of working on new ones. ( what did we get, 4 new maps?) I cant get into a NEW map coz everyone is voting on these 'old' maps. /facepalm. While I enjoyed them back in UC2, i looked forward to UC3 online for something new, not something i spent hours of play time in last year!!!.
At least they aren't charging 15 dollars for 2 or 3 maps like activision with COD and it is 25 for all DLC which is what 7 map packs? That seems legit to me.
Lol...all of this could have been included in the game on release date, as long as idiots continue to waste $ on crappy map packs and skins DLC, companies will continue milking consumers
I also don't like the name "Flashback Map Pack #1". It suggests there will be a Flashback Map Pack #2. And 2/4 of the upcoming map packs being old maps is not good considering The Facility, The Museum, The Molten Ruins and The Highrise are already on disc and from Uncharted 2.
