Victoria announced
Paradox Entertainment announces that it's working on a strategy game in which players will assume the role of a 19th-century monarch.
Sweden-based Paradox Entertainment has today announced that it's working on Victoria, a strategy game in which players will assume the role of a monarch in the 19th century. The game, which is scheduled for release in time for Christmas this year, has already been picked up for North American release by Strategy First.
In Victoria, players will be challenged to lead their nation into the industrial age of the 20th century, ensuring that the country becomes a great power by making sure that it stays ahead of the competition in terms of both wealth and strength. The gameplay will focus on six key aspects of running a country: diplomacy, warfare, economy and industrialization, colonization, technological development, and political simulation.
