I would absolutelly love to see anything from The Legend of Zelda. Though Mario is still very good.
Wreck-It Ralph tops box office

Disney's new game-centric film earns $49.1 million in first-weekend sales, besting new Robert Zemeckis flick Flight and Ben Affleck's Argo.
Game-centric animated film Wreck-It Ralph was the top performer over the weekend at the box office. The Disney movie earned $49.1 million in sales for the three-day period, according to data from Hollywood.com.
Sales of this caliber boost Wreck-It Ralph past Tangled, which was Walt Disney Animation Studios' previous record holder at $48.8 million in first-weekend receipts. Additionally, Wreck-It Ralph's debut is Disney's second number one finish this year, following Brave in June.
Wreck-It Ralph nearly doubled Back to the Future and Cast Away director Robert Zemeckis' new film Flight, which debuted on the same day and took in $25 million for the number two spot. Ben Affleck's period thriller Argo came in at number three for the weekend, adding $10.2 million for a cumulative total of $75.9 million.
Wreck-It Ralph follows the titular Ralph, a villain in a retro Donkey Kong-style arcade game. After decades of coming out on the losing end, Ralph decides he's fed up with being hated for doing his job and quits. He takes off to explore other gameworlds, coming across a variety of gaming icons along the way, including Bowser and Dr. Robotnik.
The film stars John C. Reilly (Step Brothers, What's Eating Gilbert Grape) as Ralph, Sarah Silverman (Jesus is Magic, The School of Rock), Jane Lynch (Glee, The 40-Year-Old Virgin), and Jack McBrayer (30 Rock, Forgetting Sarah Marshall).

This is nice, it's good to think that gamers are now an appreciated part of popular culture. Will be interesting to see if Skyfall can knock it off number one.
Disney Pixar movies never fail. Love them and i thank them for making this come to screen. Cant wait to watch!
Loved the movie. It deserves every penny it gets. Shame Skyfall is going to be the competition for the upcoming weekend.
@fanaticsm I agree. She's immature, annoying, and childish with a severe potty mouth...but she was WONDERFUL in this movie...possibly one of the best acting jobs in an animated movie in quite some time, especially from a woman.

2 Like Just saw this movie today. It was a fun movie, the game references were well used and the story was fun in the way it connected together. It's humor is definitely more kid-centered (well, it IS a Disney movie), but I still got a few good laughs out of it.
The subtle Metal Gear cameo was one of the highlights. :P

Saw it yesterday and really liked it. By the way it was more pixar-y than pixar's own damn movie for this year.
Took my nephew to this on the weekend it was really funny alot of references but it still was a solid movie in its own way.
8 Like So many references......it was awesome! Sonic, Mario, Street Fighter, Pac-Man, Metal Gear Solid. I can't wait for the video-game based on a movie featuring video-games.
Its great that its good but it kind of sucks that the first good video game movie isn't based off a real video game at all :P

1 Like I didn't realize the movie was out till Friday so I saw it on Sunday. Really great movie and wouldn't mind seeing again. And I rarely ever see a movie at the theaters let alone twice!
3 Like I saw this on saturday and it was so good! Really worth it! It even had a Metal Gear Solid reference in it.
@liketires A small tiny MG reference can't redeem a film. I have not seen it, but I see how everyone of these little fake MG fans are talking about that reference. You guys getting excited over something that you can see a million times on MG anyways? For reals?
@SgtStrungOut I didn't say the film was good ONLY because of the references. Besides, I'm pretty sure people that play MG will know the reference. And yes, I got excited of the reference because it was a nice touch, not everyone is as jaded or cynical as you are to everything that comes out.

This movie was amazing, I've seen it twice already and will likely see it at least a few more times before it comes out on Blue-Ray.
I really want to watch this movie but there's a certain actor I really hate so I guess I'll pass and wait for it to hit the TV screen.
It would be interesting to see which studio makes bigger sales though, Disney's Wreck it Ralph or Pixar's Brave? Has there ever been a time when both studios released movies in the same year before?

Disney has their own animation studio. They did this movie on their own.
There are many great animation studios out there. Do yourself a favour and look them up. Check out their filmography. You may be surprised!
Calling this a Pixar film is like saying Retro Studios made Skyward Sword.
@silverbj But Disney has its own Animation studio which is a separate entity from Pixar. So yeah all Pixar movies are Disney movies, but not all Disney movies are Pixar movies. Does that make sense?
@LightRukia That's what I was trying to say, their movies are owned by Disney. But then I realized Disney slapped their name on all the Pixar movies anyway.
Unlike Marvel movies which don't have the "Disney" name on them.

2 Like @Synthia @zequex What Synthia said. John Lasseter now oversees production of both Pixar and Disney Animation. The two groups work different projects, but it's still very connected. Still, to say that this is a Pixar film would be wrong.
What bothers me is when people confuse Dreamworks' films with Pixar's. They're very different in style.
