I never got a SpotPass message about this, and I just loaded my game and left the system in sleep mode for a half hour and still nothing.
I don't play the game a whole lot anymore but I've always made sure to play when the blue light on the system would flash.

Yay! Okay, did I read that notification wrong? I thought it said it would be Clinton and Socks? Or was it like the FDR one, where it introduced the dog, but then talked about the more famous one?

- I don't know! I wish they would.

I check the UK site sometimes and no luck, but its been a few days so perhaps I should go back & see.
I could try emailing them again.
It does seem very harsh they have left us out completely.

A question - once you have the spotpass hat in your supply list is it possible to set it as the present for streetpass?

- maybe it is possible if the present is an already in game item, but I suspect that out of game presents like the hats are not?

Curious, for if they were, it is possible for the present to spread to Europe
- I know you have to be within 100 feet of one another, but we do visit one anothers countries.

I suspect not, but I'm curious to know whether you can set, say, Luigi's hat as the streetpass gift.

I thought that there were only 6 gifts you could pick for streetpass? I haven't tried to reset my gift since when I first set it. XD
