Hmm... a new update is out for the 3DS. Could this be the MK7 patch, or...?
EDIT: Just checked, it is not a MK7 update. It seems to be a firmware update, but no much else is known.

I've been thinking this since we started 1337 Year Door, it's why I barely contributed to the project. I loved the spontaneity of the original, and felt that something went missing when people suddenly decided that the story had to feel like a Thousand Year Door spoof with all the same chapters, that all partners were planned from day one, that we already had a final boss and most plot twists planned out and were just adding in the filler to get us from one planned event to the next. That's what caused me to decide not to regularly contribute.

Hmm maybe that did cause a decline in quality. Although we didn't really decide on the final boss until the last chapter.
Edit: Also reminds me of Blorf. I was just starting to contribute back then and he literally sprung into my mind moments before I started the post where he first joined.

Yes, exactly what I'm talking about. Also, the Waffle Kingdom was absolutely hilarious, the madly varied and lengthly, obnoxious plots all wrapping up in Bowser's massive castle, even down to the earlier chapters and the fun of shuffling Mario back and forth between levels in the Gritz Pit until we finally figured out the perfect amount to keep the story a reasonable length. That's what I remember, and enjoyed, most about the story, the creativity.

Huh, when I joined I got a comment from marioguy I believe that I reminded him of key_of_destiny and SSOoGP... I wonder if I'm losing my touch in writing? Because most of my earlier stuff was spontaneous.

They have Waluigi Pinball, but no Waluigi. They have Rosalina, but no Waluigi. THEY HAVE A GIANT BEE, BUT NO WALUIGI!

All of my posts with the exception of the ones concerning Dark Mario, Crude Lord Jr. and Dictator Guy II are spontaneous too. Even most of those ones are at least partly spontaneous.

The first two are ok, but I see no reason why they included Honey Queen... DK could taker her place as a heavyweight (which I have NO idea why they made him a Cruiserweight...), and Waluigi could've been a Cruiser, I guess...

Waluigi Pinball's fine, it just makes no sense to have Waluigi Pinball without Waluigi to race on it. And Mario Kart needs more consistency with weights, I get moving around Peach and Yoshi for weight based on character balance, but when DK's the heaviest character of all in the first game (even while still being an infant) and is now middle-heavy as an adult, things are sort of questionable.
