IGN sits down with one of the most ambitious RPGs on DS.

I can't say that RPGU has been the most eventful place this year. I say this as if you scroll a little bit down this page you'll see a post from about this time last year titled 10,000 posts.
Unfortunately we don't have another 10,000 posts to celebrate about. We've only got 3,000... not bad considering there are only 365 days in a year. Plus considering my own constant absences leading to my lack of care and attention that probably should be given, but don't worry I would never forget about RPGU. As seen through my many attempts or should say failers to give up my leadership, which many of you have been reluctant to even allow me to do. So, I thought that I would pay a small tribute to those that kept this union alive even through its hardest times.
Firstly to my officers of which there are now just five. Celtic1962, who has filled the member's RPG reviews thread with more posts that have actual reviews then the rest of us combined. Duncanr2n, for helping keep the peace on the boards when the rest of us were reluctant to act. Ipodhero176 for always remaining so optimistic even in the middle of 'debate', I have never seen you say anything negative. god_yggdrasi, as from the beginning and even now (maybe even until the end) has always remained a dedicated member and officer since the union first started over two years ago. DurhamNC for his knowledge, unwillingness to be drawn into heated debate and for not letting me be the only one with 360 problems.
Finally to those of you who have returned, those of you who are new and those of you who like to contradict everything that we say and like (you know who you are.
) I'm pretty sure that this union would have died if it wasn't all of you here.
Hopefully 2009 will be a better year for us.
IGN finally gets to take the origin story for a spin.

The Rumor Mill begins to turn: Lost Odyssey may be getting a sequel. (Mystwalker's other IP, Blue Dragon, as well, but we've known that for a while.)

Square Enix has recently revealed some story details regarding its cellphone sequel of Final Fantasy IV, The After. Officially titled Final Fantasy IV The After: Return of the Moon, the title begins 17 years after the completion of the original game.

Mixed reactions after playing six hours, "Lost Odyssey has been a technical mess, with framerate problems in just about every cinema and on most maps, an animation system that looks like it was ported straight from a PS2 engine, and frequent, inconsistent load times accompanied by visual stuttering as new data loads in.... Barring a dramatic shift past the six hour mark, Lost Odyssey isn't going to blow people away with its visuals or presentation. But, aside from a few cliches here and there, all signs do point to an otherwise solid Japanese RPG."

We have a few things going on too, all in the festivities for the coming holiday. Currently under preparation is the debate, Gameplay Vs Story. All we need is one more debater for Story's side and a dedicated Judge. If you think your up for it just go to the Debate sign-up thread and tell us why you'd make a great debater or judge. Also our character Hurt and Heal for 2007 is now open for character nominations, which will close this time next week, so get them in before then as ever single one counts.
