Gamepad Not Working

I have a Saitek P880 control pad, but for some reason the game does not "see" it at all.

Anybody have a solution to this problem?

I have the same problem with my Logitech gamepad. Gave up trying to get it to work after 20 minutes and just played through the game with the keyboard.

Not ideal, but you only have to suffer through it for ~8 hours.

You could try JoyToKey. It basically makes button presses look like keyboard keystrokes. I've used it in other games that don't seem to like my gamepad (Fortune Summoners which refused to detect d-pad inputs, for instance) and it's always worked great.
