@Cirkelinespark As opposed to Pay2Play? Besides the fact that you can't "win" or "lose" the game, it's not matter of if you have to pay money to enjoy yourself (which I don't think you do in this game). it's a matter of how much money you have to pay to enjoy yourself. There are few good games that you can play for free (Quake Live and Warsow are good).

This new age of mouchers is just plain out fuckin sad now days... We want free health care free clothes free phones free powerbills and now free games too.... Fuckin pathetic! People most vocal about getting free shit are the ones that never do anything too improve themselves so they can buy shit!
@BadMofo666 @DrizztDark You *can* subscribe, that doesn't mean everyone is doing it. Which means balance issues. Take a look at APB:Reloaded, that game is a mess.

I fail to see how their model is any different than any MMO that offers a free 30 day trial, except that you get a free lifetime trial, and free players can access everything a subscriber can; barring cosmetic items. The model is similar to Team Fortress 2, which most people wouldn't call Pay2Win.
@DrizztDark @BadMofo666 You got all that from "Pay2Win"? Well the game IS Pay2Win. I personally think Pay2Win ruins a game comepletely. They should've gone with monthly fee instead. Sure it wouldn't have as many people playing it but the game would be a lot more enjoyable.
theres zero diffrent from this game from planetside 1. sadly the game is fun for about 3 days then you will find your self wondering what the hell is the point so much missed potential from the developers who did nothing to really make this game stand out from planet side 1.
biggest battles Ive ever seen in a video game. Most epic as well. The game is actually pretty good. I consider myself a bf fan since 1942 and I beta tested the first Ps along with the Ps2. I like it so much I purhased Alpha squad. The game has a lot of content.
They should have done a better job teaching new folks but other than that, you find battle on a bigger scale. There are cheaters on EVERY online game. Deal with it. No this isnt HALO or CALL OF DUTY so if you have A.D.D. dont play. Everyone else, welcome!
ive played several hours and Im alpha squad, and it doesnt suck at all. its pretty damn good actually.

Also, seriously impressed by how well the game runs on my 5-year old PC and how generally lagless the gameplay seems.
4 Like This game is balls. It's impossible to see anything, both because of how blurry everything is and also how dark everything is. I happened to try and play during the night and while things are different hues, it feels like almost everything is at the same luminosity... which when its dark offers little in the way of color depth. Almost everything was blue. The engine doesn't seem to run too great considering the computer I have. The game explains almost nothing, so you get dropped in and you're like "great, now wtf do I do?". Movement is okay, nothing overly wrong with that. The shooting is decent but lacks impact.
Yes, the maps are big, but that just means they fill the map with arbitrary mountains everywhere to fill the space out. Instead of intricate maps, you get miles and miles of uninspired nothing, and bases offer little more than big, empty square rooms with little to no props in them. Battlefield 3 maps are big, but not only are the maps and stuff intuitive, there's also a decent amount of detail in them.
Drab, uninspired, lack of detail... things common to most free to play games out there. About the only thing this has over other free games are vehicles(which aren't ultra rare but its rare to see a free shooter handle vehicles well) and the amount of people playing at the same time. This really is an MMOFPS, not those fakes from overseas that claim they're MMOFPS and it's just a persistent character with a lobby and game rooms.
@jinzo9988 It came to my mind everything you said, the first time I watched the gameplay vid. Seems like you confirmed that impression of mine.
@GamerOuTLaWz I played this for 30 minutes and then uninstalled. Have no interest to play again... I actually want the bandwidth that I spent downloading this back.

Counterstrike probably has better close quarters combat though I never played it. I used to play Navy Seals Covert Operations for Quake 3 that was a great Mod.
Meh like most F2P game its currently overrun with cheats.
Gotta love how there's a ton of cheater websites that are selling Cheat Tool Suites for this game and have been since beta and from the look of it theres a couple that have made smart Aimbots to compensate for the bullet drop... sigh this is why we can't have nice things :PI mostly blame SOE for doing next to nothing to prevent them... relying on PB is pointless as its one of the most common and worked around anti cheat tools.
This will only be good if indeed there is hundreds of players in one game, which I sincerely douth is what we are gonna get...
1 Like Roughly 6000 players per server, 2000 per continant (map) of which there are 3, all of them are absolutely huge.
Speaking from experience as a beta tester.

if you own a pc (and you got a good cpu on it) download it ...it is great
if you are Call of duty fan dont download it(no offence....you wont like it)

Awesome! Downloading this sucker now. The beta was pretty good fun, I enjoyed the medic class a lot. Time to get fragged!
