Same deal as last time: if you've signed on within the last few days you'll still be able to sign-on and play online. The store and account management will be down.
Even still, if you can't handle a two-hour maintenance period where you couldn't sign-on to play video games.....then you need to re-evaluate your life.

I agree if you somehow can't sign in for 2 hours and you get in a rage fit over it then you really need some help. I have never had a problem signing in during maintenance and playing games online.

It's probably Vita related server testing, like the last scheduled maintenance. Probably testing to see if PS1 games download properly on Vita.

Considering he couldn't even blame Sony for the leap year bug in their firmware, i'm going to have to say that he just can't handle Sony being criticised.
So he preemptively insults, to insure nobody would DARE question the downtime.
It's so hard to say "hey guys, PSN will down for maintenance for 2hrs. Just a heads up"
