More of the same. basically that's what Konami's franchise has become. Whilst it's not bad, it is not good at all to keep a great game the same for about 3 years. What used to surprise is now just regular stuff; the graphics are old, unlicensed teams are still everywhere and so-so music too. PES is getting old.

The one thing that makes this game great and used to keep millions of fans (including myself) loyal to it and not FIFA was its great gameplay and possibility to edit in every single way your team's formation - there's no real football without strategy. But now FIFA has made up to it in gameplay (360 degrees dribble is FIFA exclusive) and formation setup. Actually, PES has taken a step back in formation for the series. The new 'card' system is confusing and not quite accurate to make the perfect 4-4-2 formation with Kaka' and Gerrard you've been dreaming of. I'd stick with the old arrow scheme for setting up attack strategies... which brings us to the main complaint about the game: it getting old.

PES tries to improve in some aspects (ex: the new card system) but fails. Still, it is a great football game and brings you amazing gameplay and OK graphics - the same gameplay and graphics since PES 2008...

If you're new to the series, you'll probably give it a 5/5; but, if you're used to Konami's franchise, you'll just get the feeling it needs to improve over it's predecessors.
