Ah well there's that, but I meant how's everything in quantity... like, weapons, skills, combination skills... for example, Zero had 179 combination skills, and God knows how many weapons... how does AW2 compare?
Oh and lastly, whats your personal rating of the game?

Are we punished in any way when grinding etc in the game? i love leveling up to make boss fights a bit easier..
No, you can grind all you want, but like the rest of the series, your gear is the major factor in how effective you can fight in battle (not levels).
Ah i see, thanks for the extra info

How does Game save progress work? Can you save from the World map at any time or any other places as conveniently?
also are party members healed fully after each battle (Status effects and health?)

You can save anytime.
Also on special continous battles, they will let you save too, obviously save on a different save.
After battle everyone recovers fully, unless dead.

Alright, it's been said before that DEX is important to hit enemies for warriors while STR is for their damage and INT is for mages. Would anyone who has the game give their opinion on the tiers of importance for the other stats? Or all of them if you feel like it? = ]
Jun 19, 2012 1:06 pm GMT
Melee:DEX > STR > AGI > VIT > MND > INTDEX is important for Melee because if you can't hit, then damage won't matter.
STR is most important after that because obvious it is damage.
AGI is to help increase your turn faster.. while VIT (while important) is helpful against normal battle.. while boss battle isn't as important (since you will get one-shotted anyways which is a good thing sometimes).
Mages:INT > AGI > VIT > MND > STR = DEXObviously INT is where you damage is.
AGI is important since it helps you get your turn faster.
VIT for survival (really good if you have them in the backrow for formation).
MND, STR and DEX aren't too important.
Regardless you do want 50-100 into VIT asap to help out (especially your G1 characters like Weiss, Eva, Janus and Fiona). It'll help in the long run.
I didn't really put 50-100 VIT until I was 3/4f-way done with Generation 2.. so that just shows VIT isn't like completely needed.

Thanks for your input. My response is so late because I was at a friend's house. I have another question if you, or anyone else, don't mind. I saw in a different thread that the NG+ is like the Tales of grade shop. Is there a list somewhere that shares/translates what can be carried over and for how much? Also, how do you get those..."soul coins" or whatever they are called that will be used to determine what gets carried over?

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997501-record-of-agarest-war-2/57776409Remaining PP, TP, money, soul coins all transfer over.
With Plat Coins you need a total of 87 to carry over everything (max Plat coins you can hold is 99).
Weapons (12)
Armor (10)
Accessories (8)
Items (18)
Skill Books (6)
Active Skills (9)
Items that you added to the shop (3)
Monster kill counts (12)
Special counts like killing a certain amount of enemies with a specific group (9)
As for soul coins you get them in battle every time you win emenys drop a certain amount of coins
Heres a list of how its converted
there are 4 types of coins you get
Bronze,Sliver,Gold,plat coins
if you get
99 bronze converts to 1 sliver coin
99 sliver coins converts to 1 gold coin
99 gold converts to 1 plat coin and thats it.
If you played on Expert and go to any other difficulty, you get a 1000 PP bonus.

How do items get added to the shop? It was pretty aggravating in Zero the way certain really important smithing items could only be added turning particular town visits and interfered with True Ending guides.

if i thought the past games combat were lacking for use of a better word, is the combat in this one more traditional turn based? It looks like FF style turn based combat from new pics but i could be wrong

What difficulty modes exist and what is the difference between them
I played zero and 1 on the hardest modes they had
From the post above I assume that we have
Expert
----
----
Normal
----
----
Does anything fall inbetween
are their perks other than a 1000pp bonus for playing expert and then (for whatever reason) dropping to a lower one in the later ones?
IIRC you needed to play the hardest difficulty to access some content in the previous ones, does that hold up here?
Do you get more exp / pp / tp from playing expert itself?

It's turn based like FFX, but on a single char's turn you're able to attack with up to 4 people if they are in formation.
