This game looks terrible. I'd rather pay 60 bucks for a RE2 remake than play another awful action style Resident Evil game. RE4 was pushing it and RE5 was brutal

Man i just can't get enough of that Leon vs. Chris scene!!! :D

I just hope it doesn't include the partner system as knowing someone's got your back kinda kills the horror setting for example when in RE4 your out of bullets and those powerful regenerating dudes creep up to you it becomes a desperate situation and that's when your scared the most horror these days is all about despair you don't really get scared because of seeing something horrific you get scared when you know you have almost nothing to fight it with.

I don't get it, people were excited so they pushed up the release date? What short-cuts will they take to make this happen?? Is this a good thing?

@andress31 I don't know if Game Informer is any consolation, but they listed it as offline 1-2, so there you go. I get to play another RE with my brother again. That shouldn't put any of the fans off though, because co-op (even splitscreen) can work in a survival horror setting. Granted, you limit our ammo extremely, force us to depend on each other and make every bullet count, and place emphasis on team work, inventory management, exploration, random unscripted enemy encounters and atmosphere. You know, "SURVIVAL HORROR".

to be honest the way re is going with fast pace etcc. is the way re should have been to begin with.i still love the old games.they worked great back then when they game out on those systems.that is why i`m going love ths game. this series has always been about the heros trying to survive overwhealming odds like the one guy said in the video.some where along the line the fans of the series forgot that what re true meaning. and that is sad.

soooo many good games this year: Max Payne 3, Ghost Recon FS, FarCry 3, Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed3, Possibly GTAV, Bioshock, and this. game of the year is gonna be a tough one this year

@genopreetyboyo You mean Super Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Then they will put Leon in Mega Super Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, but you still have to pay for Jill and Shuma-Gorath.

Srry wht was their name again? Beside kidding I want survival not action so I think partner thing sucks, but looking forward for its co-op online or offline, and their different abilities for each main character will be interesting.

resi was ruined by co-op, it just isnt scary with another person there, iv completed evry resi game (apart from on rails crap) plz dont mess it up!

I REALLY don't want any partner crap like RE5 unless it's purely a separate co-op mode.

I want off line co-op campaign couch play. BTW whatever happened to the wonderful story line of Code veronica X? It was going so good! RE 4 & 5 do not have that good a story. 4 didn't had a story!

@Darkreaper_1: Although I agree with most of your post, I kind of like the idea of a campaign structured in three short stories. One of the problems with horror games is that they are too long to keep the tension for most of the duration of the campaign. Perhaps this will be more easily achieved with three shorter stories.

Only recently (within the last 3 years) got into Residant Evil, didnt have a chance to play any of the others until RE5, i like what ive read so far about all the games to get an idea of what is going on

The promises are great, yet remember Capcom don't screw everything up by withholding "in disc" components to sell pointless codes. RE is in the edge these days and is bound to evolve or lose forever in mediocrity.

Hmmmm, well i've got mixed feelings about this. As a RE fan I am excited and looking forward to how this game will continue the RE series but i've got quite a few doubts. I'm somebody who wants RE to return to its Survival horror roots. I wasn't that impressed with RE5 and I found the AI co-op more of a hindrance than a help. Also as there are 3 stories does this mean they are going to be be only a few hours long or can we expect a fully fledged story for each? They mention Leon's is the main story which gives me the impression the Chris and Jake's story could be small "add-ons" and will probably feel as such. Talking about Jake. Wesker's son? Really? Are they going to set him up as the next major bad-guy? I just feel like Jake is Weskers son for the sake of it. It's obviously not going to be a big surprise as they have told us before the game is even released. I'm not saying i want the same RE game over and over again or that Capcom shouldn't change elements but RE is just turning a run of the mill Gears of war style shooter. Which there are plenty of at the moment. It should stick to the lone survivor against hordes of undead/creatures style of play, choices about what weapons and ammo you can carry at any one time as well as elements you need to complete puzzles or advance past a certain point.

Still a better love story than Twilight...

In the vids they are always running away from the enemies OR running at the enemies while jumping for cover. What happened to me dear slow paced Resident Evil game where you had to walk without making noise and where you were SCARED to enter a room because you didn't know if the ceiling was going to fall on you? @Deadly_Nemesis I too agree about Wesker's son...it seems dumb to put his ''son'' in the new RE game...is it me or it looks like some Gears of War/Metal Gear Solid/Uncharted game with zombies? I personally don't care about the story being about the heroes and relationships and cheesy friendships, I want the good old RE recipe. I want to play a game and not watch a fracking 6 hours long movie. Some are concerned the whole game is going to be about Coop play/dumb AI partner ; looking at the vid it seems your nightmare have come true. In all honesty, it looks like it's going to be an arcade game with a short campaign, filled with quick time events, a cheesy story, hand to hand fighting(WTF), no puzzles,a dozen trophies, coop, and no replay value except for completing the game with a different character.

Looks like all the revenue capcom have amassed from DLC has been spent well...

So far RE 6 looks amazing , but I have 2 questions: 1: will I be able to play single player without AI partners ?. 2:is the woman with the red scarf Ada Wong ?. Thanks in advance.

It seems they tried to make the gameplay like Uncharted...just DON'T SCREW THE PUZZLE element of the game...and a long single player campaign....it seems to be filled with quick time events....=(

they are just changing the date because they need to do some changes with the feedbacks they received from the last Racoon City game. Please make sure you release a good game this time and don't make it like Re5...can we have an ''updated classic'' or is it too much to ask! =)

well by what they said this game is going to come out very good i hope . an by the looks of the game the game play is going to be faster then all the other resident evil games because i remember that in resident evil 5 every body was hopeing to have faster movemints them resident evil 4 an it hade the same . well its a good thing they fixed it .

This is one of the games that worth every pennies you spend. RE is the reason why I love Capcom.
