Before people start the hate and dumb comments - Halo 2 required Vista which was out of the question compared to XP, and now I don't feel like giving money to M$ to play it on Win7. So yeah, Halo 1 - best game ... only game.
1 Like Loved the series.Played a bit of the first one on PC.Was excited about Halo3 until Microsoft announced "no more Halo for PC".Was Extremely disappointed.And then came Gears of war.Played it on a low specs PC but still enjoyed.Was expecting GOW2.And then the same old story."No more GOW for PC".
That's when my hatred for microsoft began.

Halo 1 and Halo 3 were the best campaigns for me. Reach was well on the spot, but fell short for me. Halo 4, though looks the same as all the others, looks fantastic and i can't wait to order it

I've played the first three Halo games, via my brother's Xbox and Xbox 360. I beat the first two Halo games.
Of the three games I played, Halo 2 was my fav. Playing as the Arbiter was pretty cool and it was even more interesting to see the story from his perspective. The Arbiter really got the shaft when you consider that he was misled by a bunch of crooked religious zealots.
The most recent EFMS shows aren't as funny as they used to be, Danny used to find ways to satirize the parts of a game series or genre that was a particular weak point but always keep whatever he was featuring in reverence, now he just seems to cut straight to the point of the subject matter and just give us the facts, still interesting but none of the humor that made the old ones great. Basically he got lazy but still the best show on GS!
@Humdinger80 This episode was from 2011 - perhaps that explains this? Or not, I do get tired easily.
I don't hate the story in Halo, but how could you give it such importance in this video but then completely gloss over the story in the Metal Gear Solid video? MGS has a way better story than Halo. It can get convoluted, especially in MGS2, but it kicks Halos ass!
The first Halo I played was CE on PC in 2005. I had some problems with it at the start since my standards have been rised thanks to Call of Duty 1 & 2, MoH Allied Assault and Half Life 1 & 2. And how great it was. Still don't get why so many people hated the library level and the flood, they were good for a change of pace and I loved their unrelenting fighting style (something that has been changed in Halo 3 for the worst). I can say with no doubt it was one of the best shooters I played. The quality curve touched rock bottom with Halo 3 for me, but that's because I'm a SP gamer for most part. Good thing next halo games at least have been going up with that curve, and I hope Halo 4 sticks to that.

I remember having LAN parties in high school with projectors and many, many Xboxes linked together. It was amazing to hear people react in the adjacent room when something crazy happened. We would play that game for 10 or 14 hours straight. It was amazing :)
It's Halo....it's going to have the "Apple" effect on people. It's going to follow a mold, people will defend it with their life and say everyone that doesn't play it is a "newb".....and I played every halo till this one. The outcome is EXACTLY the same ever time.

I've watched the video twice to try and understand Halo's story and it still doesn't make sense. The story was never it's strong point imo anyway.
Btw, does the Seb controller come with a wireless option?

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of the Mount Stupid series to get players who are unfamiliar with a series the full run down? I watch these videos to learn about games I've never tried, it might change my mind and I give a series a try.
No, I don't have a 360 and haven't played a Halo game but I don't see why that should be a requirement to watch this video, like I said I might get interested and actually invest in a 360. Good thing you're here to give me a nice impression of the kind of fanbase I can expect for this game, huh?
Chatting shit? I said the story isn't the game's strong point, there's nothing wrong with that, why do you make it sound like I called this game a complete flop? If Halo wasn't a good series it wouldn't have such a huge fanbase. I think the majority of players like Halo for the multiplayer, in my opinion (emphasis on opinion) the multiplayer is where the game really shines.
Yes, please keep calling people stupid and cuss because they have different points of view than yours, it really proves your point. I never said the game was bad, I said the story isn't its strongest point in my opinion and you go and throw a hissy fit. Calm down, you're really giving a bad name for fans of the series and driving away potential future fans.

I came to watch this video to learn more about the Halo franchise because I was interested, do I have to play a game first before watching any videos about it? Even Danny admitted the story made no sense to him initially.
