I've been playing Elder Scrolls since Morrowind as well, and loved the series as I moved onto Oblivion and Skyrim, I have to admit the DLC's released for Skyrim and Oblivion have added additional hours onto gameplay have been brilliant. I personally love Dragonborn, and I am playing it now, almost finished it. Bring out more DLC for Skyrim or another sequel please.

Ben playing Elder Scrolls since Morrowind. It really opened my eyes up to RPG gaming. I would finish school and play till 1 in the morning and weekends would consist of not eating, repetitive strain and DVT, The Elder Scrolls series is epic and can only get better.
I have played all of the elder scroll games and am loving em all. there aren't enough good rpg games out there FF series was good uniil FXII which i thought was a pile of.... (well i will leave that to your imagination). Please make a decent rpg just like these games
Daggerfall and Arena were great but really hard at first! Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim were easier but still great games!
I played Oblivion first, and it was great. I then played Skyrim, and I liked it. I then played Morrowind. I didn't really like the combat system in it though.
2 Like Hilarious video....Just wanted to know if it is worth downloading Arena and Daggerfall for free; I mean, are they good enough? They're huge and sound really fun but I just want to know if the bugs and graphics would ruin it. Anyway, a possible idea for the next main Elder Scrolls game: since it will probably be for the next generation of consoles (PS4, XBOX 720), I thought that with that technology the programmers would be able to make a high-definition, highly detailed version of all of Tamriel, then when the player creates is or her character they would spawn in the homeland of whatever race they chose to be ( Nords-Skyrim, Khajiit-Elsweyr, etc.), and then they would be able to travel all of Tamriel and do the main quest in each province, sort of like in Arena but better. Another idea would be to play on a different continent, like Atmora. So, just wanted to say what I think would be cool in the next games and please let me know if I sould get Daggerfall and/or Arena.
He forgot about Redgaurd, Battelspire,Tribunal, Bloodmoon, Shivering Isiles and all the TES Travel games.
1 Like Played Morrowind first, but only finished about half of it. Oblivion I played for hundreds of hours.
Ack! Morrowind and Oblivion were not the 3rd and 4th games of the Elder Scrolls series, but the 5th and 6th. Between Daggerfall and Morrowind, Bethesda Softworks released An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard. Admittedly, Redguard was not the same as the other games as it was designed more as an action adventure game. I have followed the series from the very beginning and purchased Arena on floppy disk from a software store in 1994!
1 Like I like all of the main games, except daggerfall. Its just impossible to complete any quests, with its randomly generated dungeons that can be as large as the game world itself. You can spend two hours trying to find a vampire in dungeon and still not find it.

I actually never played any of the ones before Skyrim. It's weird, but while playing Skyrim I often came across references about Morrowind or Oblivion, and wanting to play them too. Think it'll be a bit weird though but i'll try anyway :)
1 Like I played Arena.I played them all,even Battlespire (SP). There were a lot of bugs, a lot of being stuck in walls.falling through levels in dungeons. Messy. I still played them because they were open ended. You could do anything. In this world,you can rob,cheat,steal,murder.be kind,just be.In my opinion,Oblivion was the crowning glory of the series. If I wanted to "Play House" as some people have called it , I could. I could collect the bodies of victims,then bring them home. And leave them there.Now that is virtual reality! No moralizing. Complete freedom. I know that sounds nuts, but,It is what it is. From what i see of Skyrim,they have failed. On the Xbox 360 the victims eyes are closed. If you try to move a body,It is wooden,You can't easily move it. I want to do ANYTHING in this reality.If I want to drag some rude npc out into the street and hang them from a well.That's OK. it's just a game. Now, I can have a noisy dog companion that freaks out my dogs on this plane. The game seems a little to moralistic compared to Oblivion.In Skyrim I have seen characters stuck in floors.. Brought back memories of Arena. The patches seem to be working, i can actually climb a mountain now. This series has always been full of promise and full of disappointment,So far in my opinion Skyrim fits that bill. I want an adult game.
@SASHA It is nice to see someone else mention Battlespire. I have played all 7 (yes, seven) one-player Elder Scrolls games. I laugh when they call Oblivion the 4th game in the series, since it is truly the 6th game in the series. Rarely mentioned are Battlespire and Redguard. Although Redguard had a different type of gameplay, it was still an Elder Scrolls game and shouldn't be left out.
I bought Arena for about $12 from a now non-existant game shop called Babbages, and a month later is was selling for about $40 because people started to hear about it. Now THAT is what I call an early adopter!
Imagine all 5 Elder Scrolls games with HD in one collection. 1500 hours easily. This is where you lose your mind.
I loved Oblivion it reminded me of a online game called EverQuest except I was alone and had the freedom to do what I wanted to do

Morrowwind was huge. It is the only one of the 3 (Morrowwind, Oblivion, and Skyrim) I played that I never finished. I filled up an entire steno pad trying to keep track of all the missions and things I agreed to do.
Never played Arena nor Dagger Fall. I admit I was a bit hesitant about Morrowind, it just had to much to do, but once I started the game blew my mind and changed the concept of fun in a game. Oblivion improved features like alchemy and combat, and now Skyrim offers the good things of Morrowind and Oblivion and solved "problems" of the previous two. Between the three, there is so much replay value.
The Elder Scrolls series is fantastic. I've fallen in love ever since Oblivion and pumped 100s of hours into the gameplay of Oblivion and Skyrim. Bethesda is deserves every penny you spend on their product. They are one of the last companies to actually give you your $60 and so much more!
I actually played all of the elder scrolls games. . I even still have my copies of the games, and for years I had the original boxes too. I still keep the manuals and game maps that came with them. And (as far as I know) I'm not a jerk ;)

First, I am probably one of the few who own 'Arena' and 'Daggerfal' but I must admit that I did not play them very much. They where buggy as hell when they came out in the nineties and crashed my 'then' system regularly. Morrowind was much better and I played that one on the xbox. Logged 100+ hours in that one. Oblivion was very good and also logged in around 200+ hours. Skyrim is mind blowing. I only have done 2 quest lines and am already logging in at around 100+ hours, with 1 character. So, yea, I can say I am a fan of the elderscroll series.
The first two minutes summarizes what I use to think about RPGs. Thanks to Oblivion, my entire perspective changed.
Played morrorwind for years(4 0r 5 years), and never had any interest in beating the game
*sigh* I'm Chris... Though I didn't get all that far with either of the first two. Arena I enjoyed but was just too time consuming. Daggerfall I forgot to make a note of what I was meant to do next and had no idea where I was meant to go. I played Morrowind obsessively one summer and then on and off for over a year all as one character. Morrowind started off hard but you could become so ridiculously powerful. Oblivion I clocked a couple of hundred hours on side quests... then atempted the main quest. Big mistake. Everything had scaled so much that it took literally minutes wailing on the more powerful Daedra to drop them. Who knew hell breaking through to reality could bore you into submission. Skyrim is in danger of becoming Morrowind again for me. The interaction between the craft skills lets you become ridiculously powerful fairly early. Any way great video. One thing that wasn't mentioned that both Arena and Daggerfall are available for free. So if you want to try them it will only cost your time.
Awesome video, and its really telling you something when all of those games offer a crazy amount of gameplay compared to games like COD.
