I first started playing WoW in middle school, and stopped some time after the release of Burning Crusade. I levelled two characters to 60 (and had a whole stable of others at various levels), but was somewhat limited by the fact that my folks wouldn't let me stay up late enough to go on the big, guild-organized raids. I forget exactly why I stopped, but at this point I've pretty well moved on and frankly wouldn't have the time in the day to get back into it anyway. Still, every now and again something like this video stirs my nostalgia and I miss exactly the fun, camaraderie and adventure mentioned therein.
I played WoW on and off since vanilla. I really liked this video because Danny clearly had the same experiences that I did. I recently resubbed and I'm enjoying it. The issue is the whole friends situation. All of mine have stopped playing bar one or two and its infrequent when they play. The new Raid Finder system is very good for people returning to the game, within a few days of doing heroics to get my gear up to scratch I was taking on Deathwing. It is a brilliant system to allow people to see the whole game and all of the content that it has to offer. SWTOR seems to be a great game from what I've seen and heard. The only issue is that it's endgame isn't as good, (again this is from what I've heard) which could mean some of the players who left for SWTOR might come back to WoW. Atm nothing is beating WoW on subs, but if enough games take a few hundred thousand - 1million players (even DC universe saw a 1 million player spike in the first week of it going free2play) WoW will lose out, not because any particular game is better, but because the market will be saturated. Project Titan, I look forward to you.
Played WOW for 4 years until 2008 when most of my friends stopped and our guild disbanded. I had an awesome time playing this game, and yes I agree it is one of the best games ever made, but hey, it's Blizzard. ROFL with the LEEEEEEEROOYYYY Jenkins, kudos to the insanely stupid over-aggressive tank for a good laugh.
Wow is responsible for the best gaming moments of my life, but unfortunately the worst aswell. Raiding 7 nights a week is just bad baad baaad. I'll always keep the fond memories but i'll never go back again now its changed. Was never the same after Cata. Next expansion just seems a bit like they don't really know where to go next and its best to let it die a more dignified death. Great vid as always!
@Xerialstraz Been in wow since 1st came out...I got to admit wow ended when icc)Ice Crown Cidatel came...I had ICC 25 achiv before most in top 100 ww)But after that cata was just the way blizzard told old players we dont need you, they have made the game creapy and free epics for all...Can't really say its bad for kids but for me who have played from MC up to ICC and even cata till firelands I have to say mostly are kids and blizzard made the biggest mistake with cata and even worste with panderia...They should know that if guild wars 2 will have better grafic those kids who came to wow will stop and go to gw2 or some other game....While an old player would have played if the content was good...But c;mon rly pandas, wolfs, bakugan fights betwen pets...I still want from time to time to get into wow but then again I consider to waste my time on it and money why pay a sub for 1month to play 2-3 tops...where are those 20-01 raids3-5 days a week...Where is the fun in epic if any1 has epics...where is that difference betwen good players and bad...Blizzard wants to get most of it now while its heading to the grave sorry blizzard...You will soon find yourself flooded with kids and when something else will come you'll find yourself alone...Got to mention wow and tbc were best expensions...
P.S:The story I have searched and wow epciclopedy is soo big they could have made another 100 expansions and still have the same flavor as wow and tbc even as Wotlk but cata and now panderia is def a fail...Blizzard your killing yourself
