A creepy mansion? Blank-faced statues? What could possibly go wrong? Jess and Zorine dive into the latest build of indie horror title Kraven Manor!
This actually looked like good game :o.
You should definitely play Clocktower in one of future episodes.
Though you two should have looked at the monster way back in the bedroom scene, the game seems to have invincible mode on so long as you hit a-d every time they grab you, it showcases the mechanics of the game and would have made for a more tense episode though ;D
Did a play of this, utterly fantastic ideas both with manipulating the manor to the enemy mechanics. Hoping for a bigger story and not so many in your face encounters where they shoot balls of energy at you but something like a mannequin that's crawling on the walls only to stop when exposed with light, several mannequins at once at different positions...
Gosh... couldn't help noticing Jess and Robin Scherbatsky share the same "but uhm" characteristic haha
I've owned almost every console since the NES, have close to a thousand games, but one thing I never got into for many reasons was PC gaming (mainly time, money, and I don't know all the parts and stuff I need, i'm not computer hardware literate) . I know that i've been missing out, but I no longer want that to be the case. What would I need to buy to get the top of the line shit out there right now? And what are some good PC exclusives i'm missing out on? I know you have to buy a graphics card or whatever they're called but what else? and which one is the best and most powerful?
@gaming_binge One other thing. Unless you are running multiple monitors or an ultra high def monitor current high end hardware is so far beyond the current software you really don't need an ultra high end system. If you have the money more power is always better but today's mid-range systems will play most games maxed out at 1080p and you can always upgrade your graphics card in a couple years, for a lot less than a high end card will cost you today, once the software catches up.
@gaming_bingeNo matter what your budget you should build your own machine. You can build a machine for less than half the cost of a name brand system. You'll have more flexibility going forward and in most cases the parts you use will be of a higher quality.
The various components are nearly plug and play nowadays and anyone can build one with only a little research. Even if you don't know a thing about hardware there are plenty of websites/magazines out there that will tell you the best bang for your buck components based on your personal budget as well as what components are compatible with each other. There are lots of articles and YouTube videos showing you step by step how to put everything together.
Not only do you learn a lot going through the build process its fun and there is a sense of accomplishment when you're done. Be forwarned it is addictive but you won't regret it.
Good luck to you and welcome to the world of PC gaming.
@gaming_binge If you already have a monitor, $500 will give you a very balance pc. Just crank every graphics setting to high but lower the resolution that will do the trick.
One more thing....... EVERY CONSOLE !!!!! pics or it didn't happen.
Have you played a clock tower game yet? I remember being scared shitless by Clock Tower 3 in my early teens
@jonny_dutch Ever played the first clock tower? I own the trilogy, but have yet to play the true first clock tower titled clock tower the first fear which debuted on the SNES in japan.
@jonny_dutch I've been trying to track down a copy, but it's been difficult. Quite an elusive game.
Great episode, loved the game! It's such a good time to be a gamer and horror fan - indy games ftw!
ha one of the curses jess said was "Jesus asshole.".
now, why would you say that. i mean. why Jesus's? and his asshole. just strange.
@sebbysebbseb I don't know what happens to me when I curse. Nothing makes sense.
@tempertress @sebbysebbseb Same. It's pretty much MadLibs when the words start flying out of my mouth. At work I have to keep it PG, so "Son of a *insert item here*" happens.
@tempertress @sebbysebbseb I think when it's a panic reaction, you don't actually choose the swear words you scream out. They just get mashed together from all the words you would normally curse with. "Jesus Christ" is commonly used for cursing, as is "asshole", so "Jesus asshole" makes sense, somehow.
every one was lughing at me when I jumped after that bloody masseg lol nice episode girls
Great episode. The statue reminded me of the Robax commercials:
@Beach_Samurai Ah, so they were just angry because of back pain. Poor souls.
That' s the best kind of game for House of Horrors. Even I felt it a little tense at times.
Too bad you' re not gonna do another one next week. I guess that' s the only reason to hate E3. :P
Man, its always funny to watch people play Kraven Manor. However, it was frustrating how much you two tried to rush through the game. Every mechanic was implied through a cutscene or action, written down on the various pages in the house, or written down in the journal. While I know it is a web show to get through quickly, this game supplies everything needed to understand how to do everything. The player just needs to read it. I know I'm coming across a bit rude, but I thought the game does a great job of explaining everything one way or the other if you take your time.
@kakashi_AnBu I'm sure you're absolutely right, I was trying to show people the whole game without going horribly over our hour long stream - it's also rather difficult to balance heavy text inclusions in a stream. Thanks for your thoughts though!
