I like Jonathan Toyad, but he was the wrong guy for this piece. I learned very little, and his co-host's patience level is very commendable. Jonathan, in the future, try to keep in mind that we're not watching to learn about you, your likes or dislikes. We want to know about the game. I say that with all due respect.

1930's? It's based on WW2 which, except for 4 months in 1939, took place in the 40's. Yes some countries were still fielding biplanes at the beginning of the war, but they were biplanes that could run circles around anything from WW1. That's my history lesson for today, I'll go away now.
1 Like Would like to play another wargaming.net game but sadly the economy in World of Tanks burned me, even when my team was winning I was loosing silver with the Tiger tank because I didn't have premium, and gold ammo just ruined it for me.
Back to MechWarrior online I guess.
It doesn't look very good at all sadly.
No start/landing ruins half the game for me right there.
More arcade and less simulation ruins it even more.
But mostly I didn't get a sense of flying. It doesn't look right. Needs more grittyness maybe?! Something's definitely lacking.
The interface seems completely inappropriate for old planes too.
It's all modern and digital looking and you're flying WWI planes??
There's just a complete lack of charm imo.
It's too bad because I'm hoping for more good games in this genre. I'll pass on this one though.
2 Like @Saketume play warthunder then its straight a better game and has way more players also yes you can land thats how you capture points and repair your plane.

I think I figured out what the main issue is.
There's no wind in this game. The planes just glide around like blocks in a gravity free vacuum. @sniperwol_basic @Saketume @dude102 Not to mention you actually have black out restrictions which if wowp is the same as when I tried it that was not possible so endless circle battles happened with no loss of energy this just doesnt happen in war thunder

7 Like @nhall00195 It's a competitive arcade flight game, not a sim. People have enjoyed arcade flight games for many years--smart people, no less. Some of those arcade flight games, such as Ace Combat and Crimson Skies, have been beloved by many players over the years. No one complains that World of Tanks is not a tank simulator, or that Counter-strike is not an anti-terrorism sim. World of Warplanes is a multiplayer combat flight game. Are you saying it is not allowed to be exactly what it is? What comparison are you making when suggesting it is "dumbed down?" Dumbed down from what, exactly?
It's ok to not like what you see, or for the game to not be as complex as you would like. But going from "this isn't to my tastes" to "retards should enjoy this" is--well--I'll let some other enterprising viewer fill in the rest.
@Kevin-V Why even bother, Kevin? If you're going to take the time to give us your valuable insights, don't waste time on the lowest common denominators. People who see others as "retards" because they enjoy a different style of game need not be responded to. I don't play MMOs so I will skip this game, but it's nice to see a new flight game (sim or arcade) join the field. This genre is shrinking and it's a damn shame. Hoping Star Citizen will bring it back...
World of Tanks will let you have anything permanently but at a cost of high game play time. To unlock any tier X tank one has to play over 2500/3000+ matches (15 minutes per match) even with premium account or premium vehicle. Absolutely no intention to play this one simply because its not good enough to worth the time.
