Johnny goes back in time to 1997 to play some Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. He's still awful at it.
playing this game , makes me rage out so many times but its always nice to see some one else struggle LOL
@kingsmokie I played this game many times and never raged out on it, Now Ninja gadien game is another story
LOL! This is one of my fondest memories. Watching you play this is hysterical!!!!
And yes, this game is EXTREMELY tense.
OddWorld 1 and 2 were AWESOME!!! great history, puzzles, characters, graphics. Even today it's cool to play it.
PS: this guy really sucks at playing it.
I am actually respecting this game more; some other game suggestions are Shadow Dancer [1989] and Small Arms [2006].
This is one of the best games ive ever played!! Takes me back to 1998 when I first bought my PS1. Fantastic!!!
Oh man, that creature at 7:11 used to be so terrifying to me! It still kind of is!
Im sure there are very few gamers that will know why Im suggesting such a game but I'd love to see You give the random encounter treatment to the game Amped 2. Ive burned hours and hours in amped 2. In my opinion the best extreme sports game till skate was released and still the only good snowboarding game(I mean beside cool boarders) COOOOOOOOOOOL BOARDEEREREERERESSS!!!
In my opinion, this game still holds up. I think the only annoying thing is the "one Mudoken at a time" which they fixed in the follow up, Abe's Exodus. Minus that though, this game is still a great puzzle platformer. Unmatched.
Edit: Oh, ya and you missed a couple Mudokens cleaning in the shadows there Jhonneh =P
LOL, that was pretty entertaining to watch Johnny. XD
This game had some really solid mechanics and level design. Some of the segments were pretty rage inducing though lol.
This game use to scare me as a kid too, which left a lasting impression on me; opposite 'Croc: Legend of The Gobbos'. The implied moral analogy in the game is fun too, the glukkons being super greedy sociopathic industrial corporate execs that smoke cigars, genius
They really need to make a new 2D Oddworld at some point. But if they do, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T DUMB IT DOWN FOR THE MODERN GENERATION! The one tiny error means death and great challenge was what made the PS1 Oddworld games so great. Well that and they were just so damn creative, unique and funny.
@burgeg They're remaking the Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus in 3d sidescroller. I don't think they'll be doing Munch's oddysee style again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSdIGD5MpOM Skip to 41:21 for the gameplay footage but the rest of the video's good too.
this was awesome as found this for a £1 yesterday but how about SIN was meant to be a ground breaking game but vanished very quickly
man i loved this game as a kid. Is this game not getting a Total HD re work i heard a while ago.
I loved this game. I remember my Christmas wish list to Santa Claus when I was a wee lad and all it had was Abe's Exodus....Guess what I didn't get? Abe's F'N Exodus...
You should have played the second one. Don't get me wrong I loved Oddysee but Exodus just raise the bar across the board.
Just a suggestion for games: LITTLE BIG ADVENTURE 1 AND/OR 2
They're fun little quarky games about 1,00 years ahead of their time. Look em up, I actually think you would enjoy playing them
I remember this game as being very revolutionary at the time.. loved it very much! Love your repetitive many fails, Johnny :p
Fantastic game, still got both in my PS1 collection. Exodus is great too but imo the series went downhill when it went 3d.
I remember this game for so many reasons. Mainly though for spending far too much time making Abe say "I don't know" for no real reason whatsoever.
Every single screen in this game is a work of art. Fantastic music, ambient sound, atmosphere.
had so many funny hours at this game, even dying constantly wasn't frustrating, the difficulty made me satisfied after completing a challenge.
This game was AWESOMELY imaginative and beautiful. But i hated the clunky control and puzzle platforming stuff. There was absolutely NO room for error in this game. one slip up and you die
@mischiefmeerkat And that's what made it so good. One tiny error and you're punished. But you know what? If you made that error you really did make that error. There was absolutely no blaming the game. The controls may have been "clunky", but they were absolutely made for precision. Perfect controls for the way the game was designed.
This was hilarious! Great job on the video. I never got to play this game back in the day, but I'd always heard it was good.
hahahahahahahahaha this was very funny video. actually me and my friends thought of this game a day ago. it was really something back then :)
