@sophia XD thx! now i need the time to catch up on this blog.
@detlef - this is an ongoing series. See the link for all the interviews we've done. http://www.gamespot.com/pages/news/story.php?sid=6298196
well done. i'd be interested if GS is going to produce more excellent interviews like this one.
A lot of effort has gone in to this video, thank you! The background pictures and music really added to the experience.
I remember the first time I finally got Civ 4 in my hands. All those years of waiting and the gorgeous earth was shown from space with Baba Yetu playing in the background. At that moment I had to resist crying. It was an epical peak in my gaming career. I love good music and Civilization is and will always be my favorite game. When I die Mr. Meier and Mr. Tin will greet me at the gates of heaven, I'm sure :)
"learn as much as you can before you start working" ain t that true
I was among the high school choir that put on the world premier of his album. We were only able to do 3 shows, and every one sold out. We need a bigger auditorium, haha. Anyways, I met and talked at length with Chris, and he's a very nice, normal guy. I haven't played Civ IV only because I don't have a computer that can handle it, but it's been on my list of games to get for a long time now.
Great video and great interview
This guy is amazing! I expect great stuff from him in the future.
This? This is exactly what I am talking about? This is why I LOVE Gamespot.com because I understand the time and money it took for Gamespot to create this, they did not have to do this but they did. They did this for us the consumers to enjoy and appreciate (period).Thank you!
mmmm The Wall. this interview gave me even more respect for him. his honesty and selflessness blew me away. I love that he's an advocate for video game music as a respected medium of music. But I think it's as simple as this- when video games are no longer looked down upon by the general public, music will be respected as well. so much drive. love it. and I really appreciate that he dug a little bit into the nitty gritty details of how he recorded his cd and his latest projects. Sophia, you clearly put a lot more work into this video than previous ones. what you do is as valuable for advancing the art of game music as Christopher. thank you so much.
While I've never played this game, I think the music sounds amazing. Great Interview. :)
It's so amazing to witness that near-six years after the game's release, it is attaining recognition in some some shape or form. This game was truly a masterpiece, in every sense of the word; from the core gameplay down to the soundtrack - everything was amazing. It's no wonder to see why I still play it to this day. :D
