Silent Hill: Book of Memories launches on October 16, 2012 for Vita.
1 Like It looks more fun than I was expecting. I am pleasantly surprised and intrigued. I'll pick this one up and give it a whirl. I've been enjoying the limitelessness of Little Big Planet... but I'm ready for a break. Plus I want to finally finish up my metal gear solid, before Streetfighter v Tekken, Assassins Creed 3, Black OPS, and Perona 4 come out. I'll get Battle Royale too, but it won't be quite as immersing as all those others.
Ok, people Relax! It's a dungeon crawler, but there have been some great dc games that look similar to this. I for one won't count this out, until I see more.
Silent Hill fans just became worst than DMC fans... I like the demo don't see why people cant take it for what it is, a spinoff...
Someone needs to tell Konami that you cant flog a dead horse. And if it loses a leg, you cant replace the lost limb with a stick and say: "oh its fine, I'm sure they wont notice the difference"

this is the new horror.. making a game so bad that your actually horrified to play it before you even start! To finish the game you have to "survive" the endless crap it gives.. lets just all pray Dead space 3 wont make a mess out of their co-op..
£300 well spent = vita .......NOT. Uncharted was dimond, what are the Sony boys at vita HQ doing!!?? there's F#ck all worth playing, knew i should have gone to the dark side and bought an ipad now I SHALL HAVE TO RELEASE MY ANGER LUKKKKE on the unsuspecting pc boys on here :) .
1 Like I usually get sucked in by Silent Hill trailers no matter how crap the actual games turn out to be. But that was really, really awful.

Silent Hill reduced to a cheesy, Diablo-like isometric co-op action game... the horror!! Oh, wait. There's none.
This is a new low for what was once a legendary horror series. If there's a real-life Silent Hill town and the devs were trapped in it, the monsters would probably take the form of this POS.
SH is dead to me since Origins! I tried Shattered Memories, Homecoming and the HD Collection only to realize that Konami is milking the hell out of SH for some years now. They don't have ideas anymore, the main story ended in 4; what came after that it's a bore-fest! I mean, what more they have to tell (or sell) about a city covered with fog where people with guilty conscience see monsters..? For Konami the SH brand it's profitable enough; for us fans (or ex-fans like me) just another good series gone bad...
4 Like The horror Genre is as good as dead,first Dead space 3 with it's co-op and then RE6 being turned into a third person action game and now SH is an Diablo style hack and slash :\
@hella_epic Not only co op Dead space 3 It's Not Horror they made game like Lost planet And i'm really disapointed with story, Another Alien arc appear, Come on Make story more interesting.
7 Like SH came a long way over the years. From absolute mastery of superb, story-driven, atmospheric, bone-chiling survival horrors to mediocre, generic, free mobile games (well, at least this one looks like it). This game is simply an insult, even getting the demo on myvita felt like a gesture of kind will. I'm going back to SH2 now. Shame, shame on you, Konami.

1 Like WOW, wait, I haven't played SH since SH3 (the real last Silent Hill) But what is this? Silent Hill meets Diablo?? The third view claustrophobic perspective view is what made SH scary. Taking this element away and making it an isometric camera view changes everything. But they made this with Lara Croft and the candle of life, and the game was fantastic. But something tells me that this game is not going to that direction... not sure why. If they are going to do this, they have to go full blast and make this super actiony. No point making it scary, it would be way too hard.

They delay this game so many times already... and it doesn't even worth it :( They refuse to patch the xbox360 silent hill hd, they didn't patch downpour... Konami wtf is going on!!??
1 Like Lol this looks terrible. The first Silent Hill game i wont be playing. (Mainly cuz i dont have a Vita) but also because of everything else.
I haven't played a Silent Hill game yet; but looking at this, it looks nothing like what it should be. This looks way too action oriented to what Silent Hill should be. Silent Hill is about slowly making your way through a dark and creepy atmosphere while trying to survive. If this wasn't under the Silent Hill name; it probably wouldn't get so much hate. This looks like its destroying the Silent Hill formula.
The ONLY thing still horrific about the Silent Hill series is that they will never stop making them.
