Check out this gameplay footage from Silent Hill: Downpour of an explosive scene shot off of a screen at E3 2011.
Having the camera crews' reflections are one thing, but having the camera crew looking bored is unacceptable. I dont understand why you wouldn't be ecstatic to have one of the easiest jobs on the planet!
Looks good! I loves homecoming and this seems to be along those lines. I've played every silent hill game since the first came out. Loved them all. Although nothing could beat the first 3 these do a good job.
I don't like this. They shouldn't call these new games silent hill. It's an insult to the series (1-3).
Alan Wake + Dead Space = Silent Hill Downpour. The reflection of the man was pretty creepy. At first, I thought it was part of the game!
@notjackiechan i think it may have something to do with the NAME (downpour) or possibly the main characters hydrophobia issues(?) either way i think they need to replay the classics to get this one right.
They need to make it more realistic with body language. It kinda fails. No one walks casually coughing like that while yelling.
Sigh. These developers should actually sit down and play the first 3 games, then maybe they'd get something right. This doesn't look scary at all. What a shame. And why does water change it into the other world? I really hope there's an actually point behind that and that it's an interesting one. Not like, "Oh, the main character actually drowned and this is all in his imagination before he died. Look, water!"
lol. this looks so bad. no original silent hill feeling. it;s been lost since sh3. sh4 had transformed it into something different- sick and much more twisted. the most authentic was sh2. too bad that those american/european devs just can't make a game with true japanise-feel-like horror/survival game. it's just to lame - the film idea of darkness entering should have been left in film. anf they should return to sh/sh2 darkness entering.
looking forward to it! looks like they kept the same creepy feeling of the other silent hills but the guys reflections and narrative was super annoying:(
Thank you Vatra games for making a genuine Silent Hill. It was nice as hell :). Cause "Homecoming"...yeah,that never happend.
