It's a hard life under the sea.
Finally they modeled the whole U-boat with all compartments. Looks freaking awesome. I am getting this game. This is EPIC.
My reaction when I saw the video: O.O HECK YES!!! Especially when a warship snapped in half. I love SH3, SH4 is ok, but THIS...I hope my 2-year old laptop can handle it. If not, I'll upgrade just to play this game!
You can always tell the Modern Warfare player. They always say "Why ww2 again?" Maybe because that was the last real sub warfare period. There is nothing going on in modern times except escorting a Carrier Group around the globe. If that sounds like a good plot for a new Sub Game, then good luck with that. I say Right on with WWII action. Bring It!
why WW2 again? i would prefer it to be in the modern times.i hope SH6 will be. anyway it looks like there is a very interesting interaction with the whole sub crew and possibly a character storyline. a lot more interesting that the previous ones.i'm looking forward to play it.
Definitely looking forward to this game, but that has to be the worst voice acting I've heard in awhile.
I liked SH series very much, but I hope, when SH5 will release it wont be half finished as the 4th was.
They have always tried to make SH as realistic as possible. I think we'll be able to choose German voices in the menu, otherwise it would be a big mistake in terms of realism. They probably used the English language for this trailer and marketing purposes.
For those who complain about the voice-acting & lack of immersion: broken English / heavy German accent - do you really think that's "realistic" or "immersive"??? I don't think so, I think that's stupid.. It makes more sense to use proper English if you play the English version of the game. If you want realism, you'll probably have the option to switch to full German dialogue w/ English subtitles.
@p_lankreijer with that option on and looks of this game looks promising only thing you could mind in this is accents
silent hunter 3 had the option of selecting the original german speech or english speech. German speech (with english subtitles) really enhanced the atmosphere. I suspect it will be the same with this one.
Guys it's just a Pre Rendered video! I'm sure that these aren't the same voices in the game(or atleast I hope). Clearly this has nothing to do with the actual finished in-game version of the game.
Gotta agree with the other complaints about the accents. This will totally destroy the immersion. We will be told we are playing as Germans, and it appears we will be against Americans? So why in the hell is everyone sounding like they are from California?! It's pathetic really. How could you make such an amateur mistake? Dissapointing Ubisoft.. I don't expect it to be in German, but it's not that hard to find actors with German accents, surely.
I have always dreamed of being able to walk around in my U-boat freely in a SH game. I sure hope this one will make my dream come true. I didn't like the pacific theme in SH4 (but I would've loved to be in a Japanese sub, I got tired of the Americans a long time ago). A trip back to the atlantic from SH3 is quite nice, but as TheDeeje said I don't like the American accents, I want the experience to be as real as possible.
Looks pretty awesome. I used to play the first SH on Windows 3.1 lol, haven't looked into any of the others. Maybe I'll make this one my reintroduction.
looks really good, the boat, uniform and such are all german but the accents are american lol tis cool though. hope my pcs up to spec
