if it was an accurate WW2 sniper simulation it'd probably only be one or two missions in length as snipers tended to get ruthlessly hunted down and crushed by airstrikes, artillery, mortar fire etc

You'd kill the first target then end up dead under a pile of smoking rubble, sneaky stealth doesn't fool indiscriminate area saturation by a thunderous rain of high explosive shells.

Simo Haya in WWII (after whom one of the accomplishments is named) had 505 confirmed kills in less than 100 days of action.

Many other snipers had over a 100 kills.

They do try to hunt them down, but they don't always succeed.
