Wow. I want this game.

I'm not a big fan of Star Trek but this looks cool

Some have said it, looks like Mass Effect. Good, I love Mass Effect, and I'm starting to like the Star Trek franchise. I have high hopes for this, just hope they don't forget a good story.

Hmmm i know i will buy this even if its crap lol, cant be worse than STO or Legacy. I am hopeful that it is as good as Elite Forces!

Finally I've been waiting forever for an update to this. Star Trek Effect looks promissing so far, and thats saying something considering Star Treks gaming history lol.

I would love a great Star Trek game. Come on developers: "Boldly go where no one [developer] has gone before!"

looks like it could be a much more linear mass effect clone. 3rd person sci fi shooter? and yet it seems to be much more action oriented than mass effect. I think it will stand on its own, but movie tie-in games are usually not very good in my experience. I'm not getting too excited for this yet just becuase I don't want to be disappointed. But I really could use a great star trek game. Haven't played one that I really loved since Elite Force 2 way back when.

with some good developers behind this (bad robot digital extremes) will it be a mass effect clone (not a bad thing) or will it stand alone. looking forward to it.

*Unfollow* They try to sell it on big cinematic scenes but I just get distracted by the awfull environment graphics. They should focus on the known and charming characters, some scenes from a bridge, something you want to see when you want to see Star Trek. They won't be able to sell it on it's Run and Gun elements alone with all the competition. Play to your strengths in a nutshell.

Regardless of the history of poor movie tie-ins, this looks like it might be the best action Star Trek game on offer yet! Digital Extremes have done some fairly good games in the past so this is looking very promising.

Doesn't look very Trekky to me at all. More like a souped-up and dressed-up version of the 2009 movie, which while good also departed from more traditional themes. Don't see myself being very interested if it is going to depart that much from canon.

That tense jump isn't really that tense. There's a cart full of hay 4000ft below him, he'll be fine. Everything is true; nothing is permitted!

@Draco416 Except for all the ones that are good. ....And this game isn't following one of the movies and hasn't been given a short amount of time to be developed to go along with the next movies release.

I do... movie game = garbage.
