Get a look at some of the new features that will be available in Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm in this campaign trailer.
looks good, but that protoss air unit kinda looks like a f**k you to the siege tanks D:
@gamefreak215jd because if they make the game with ultra high end graphics you will need an ultra high-end gaming pc to play it right, and the game will need huge amount of HDD space and fast broadband conection.
@JazzFromHell @gamefreak215jd Yeah, That's why guild wars 2 managed to do it and runs smooth as silk lol.
Graphics can be turned down for a slow computer what your talking about is a engine and packet loss problem since they refuse yo work on the program side as well.
Basically it's the same game as when it came out with lots more content.
I can be forgiving with the fact of "only one race campaign" if they bring such quality and longevity again, even with the steep price. Hope it happens again in this new release. It looks like we've been waiting forever. I don't care about online, anyone knows about DRM? Is there? how it works?
HEY BLIZZARD! How about making a decent video game than making a mediocre trailer that took you as long as making Diablo 3. I know most of you who made this trailer so badly want to get hired into Pixar...
[SPOILERS]
I'm loving the Starcraft II story. I was cheering for Raynor when he saved Morrigan in the end of Wings of Liberty and I wanna know if they're gonna be together or if they'll have to fight each other. I'm truly invested in the storyline and I wish more people could do the same.
The only reason I get Starcraft games is the story. I just don't dig multiplayer, on any platform.
@leikeylosh sure mate... i agree with yoou, but i think you mixed up your "Dragon Age origins" with Starcraft... Its Kerrigan :)
why is it these days when i read comments there is always someone saying there just milking it and your all stupid for buying it. Really? why are you even here?
@shibbyl0w5 They're probably there just to piss and moan like the mediocre, milquetoast douchebags they are, as it's likely the least boring part of their waste-of-oxygen zero-positive-contribution-to-any-facet-of-existence lives.
Starcraft became more of a scam than a game, the original one for instance. Here the hype , the big succes of the original is still in the air, because starcraft 2 with all its ad-ons milking cow money is just an ilusion...To be new to Starcraft is one thing, but to play the original and then drooling because of this "reboot" is plain stupid.
Things always get worse before they get better, with Kerrigan those words are certainly true...
Loved it until I heard that cheap ass sound effect at 1:44
I have heard this "yell" sound effect in so many movies its driving me crazy
@TrickySky the music was so loud i couldnt even hear a yell. But it's probably the wilhelm scream, and that isn't going anywhere.
Is it actually true, that gamers on starcraft competitions have to be under 20 to compete against the world best gamers, because the concentration and reaction ability of those gamers is best under 20? That´s crass.
I really cannot understand why people like mediocre Blizzard games so much. Sure they make cool cinematics, but the actual gameplay lacks depth and is pretty much boring. Sure they tried hard to make good WoL campaign, the result was boring nevertheless. There was no actual gameplay improvement from first Starcraft. This company is all about presentation. They let fans wait for years and create massive hype - I mean, how long does it take to make datadisk with few new missions and units, or how long could it take to make game like D3. Then they ask 60 Euros for it when I can have the same quality boring clickfest for 20 (torchlight). Heck, they ask 30 Euros for old D2. No, I am not eating that shit about super expensive production or "balancing". Other companies can do the same or better much faster and cheaper. When I compare gameplay of SC2 to Supreme commander or Relic´s Dawn of War and CoH series, it comes out piss poor... Or take glorified WoW: "ooooh, My hero does 3pts of damage per second and this monsta pig has 10000 HP, so it takes me just 3 hours to kill him with good healer healing my ass constantly for those 3 hours and then maybe it drops some useless junk". That is tactics Blizzard style...
@Elche58 You're so wrong about Starcrat 1 and 2. Although i own CoH and Dawn of War and love them, they are a diferent RTS style and nowhere as balanced as both Starcraft.
People are funny, Blizz made SC 1, 2, WOW 1, 2 ,3 WOW online with all expansions D1 and 2 all great geames and they F-up on one game called D3 and people have the right to say that Blizzard is losing its touch. How people have such short memories is beyond me. Are you all perfect I think not and I believe a mess up here and there is expected. Give there teams a break and enjoy what they make. I don't see many of you learning how to make great games. So until you do STFront door.......................
P.S. I love SC 1 2 and all expansions so far can't wait!!!
People (me included) aren't really pissed at Blizzard for D3 fail (if you decide to call it that)... The fact is, Activision has just too much influence, since they "merged".
That can be clearly seen across all their games lately: always on DRM, dumbing down WoW to ridiculous levels to appeal to "casual" kids (you know, to get as much players/income as possible - screw the real players who made them what they are today), including more and more in game items in the store for WoW (even tho they stated countless times that it wont happen... the $15/month isn't enough), dividing SC2 into 3 separate full price games, no LAN for SC2, and so on...
Thing is, Blizzard was doing more than great on it's own, without this stupid Activision greed. They were among the most successful game companies... So, in conclusion, Activision just ruined them.
And ye, the only solution would be for all gamers to just boycott them by not buying the games... Even better, to pirate their games, but not buy them... But of course, that will never happen.
So, enjoy the new corporate game world, and the crappy quality that comes with it...
@nenki31 @joewspecksyou do know that activison has no sway over blizzard...vivendi who own bout blizz and activison merged them so rely its still vivendi that pulls the strings under the name activsion blizzard...only difference is the name....
i wish i cud blame blizzard "poor" decision on the merger but that is just wishful thinking...:(
@joewspecks I think people are troubled by a lot more than just Diablo III's failings.
-Always-on DRM
-Dumbing down WOW (the last one, not World of WarCraft I, II, or III)
And the fact that Activision is always around to pull the strings like a big, out-of-touch mega-company. Regardless of if Blizzard says they do or not, you know it's not the same as being a standalone company.
I do wish Blizz was still on its own and I two hate DRM. I know not every game is for everyone and some people are not in to these types of games. I think that the art and the energy it takes to make alot of what they do is decent and they make at times great work and believe it is an art and to mock or put down what most of us cant do is lame. Fight DRM hate the corpret end but in the end buisness has a say sometimes to much saddly. I think the gaming community needs to find a way to back the work and scew the corp ahahh! We need the right feed back to make a change not random oppinions and trolling. I am not sure though if anything trully can be done on our end but boycot a game but most who say they will never do and the circle continues. @ignautius @joewspecks
@joewspecks A little hard to take a lecture from someone who thinks World of WarCraft has been around for 22 years.
I can't say I especially care, about Blizzard "losing its way". Blizzard never had my heart in their hands, so there's little risk of me getting my feelings hurt. I'm more of an outside observer of the company.
But, I've gotta admit that the always-on DRM does trouble me, and since Blizzard is participating in that scam they also trouble me.
And the fact that WOW (the ONLY WOW, not WarCraft I, II, or III) is barely even the same game anymore as they dumb it down for casual fans.
Plus, the whole Diablo III thing.
There's a WOW 2? And 3? Wait, you must mean WC2 and 3. Also, it's beyond me how people think Diablo was "messed up." I got 60 hours of fun out of it, and didn't expect anything more.
Sorry, I don't actually disagree with anything you said. :) I wish more people thought like you.
Oh sorry yeah ment WC. I to play 60 plus hours of D3 and enjoyed it. To me it was not there best work but you can't get it right 100 percent of the time. Thanks for the comment!@FredWallace18 @joewspecks
Most anticipated game of the year by a LANDSLIDE, I play so few games anymore and Starcraft 2 is one of a few games that I just can't deny. Who cares if they stick to a formula when that formula is perfect. This game is going to rule.
I was never really that into Zerg. Hopefully an entire campaign based around them will help me figure out how to use them in multiplayer.
Still can't wait for LotV, though. Gotta love my Protoss.
