Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor User Review
- Very Hard
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
I have not had the chance to play this yet but from what I'm reading half of you can't figure out what end of the kinect to stand in front of and the rest don't understand. If you played the first game for Xbox, and if you understand what war is like, what you say is a plus. It's war not COD! You don't get a map with your enemy's on it and clear information every time that your stuck and don't know what to do. As for the hard controls that's more user error then faulty equipment. You can't wave your arms around like your on a rollercoster and expect it to do what you want. Now I'm not saying that the kinect if flawless but it's really the best of the motion controls out. From someone that finished the first Steel Battalion several times with its 36 button panel and 3 floor pedals, it will be a few hours of training to get the VT to move just right and keep you alive. Still I have not played it but most reviews ive read have been good besides this site. Don't bash a game that may just be to hard or realistic for this spoiled age of people that have no idea what it's like on a battlefield. Bad intel and random things happening are common place (Driving down a street and BOOM the truck in front of you just turned to dust!). So in my opinion from what you have as negatives makes me want to play this game more for two reasons, I want to play it because it sounds fun and challenging and to show up all you "hardcore" gamers that couldn't push the right button because a RPG just hit your metal box on legs thats about 40 feet tall and you got bumped around....Sad.
