Street Fighter III: Double Impact is the home conversion of the 2 exclusive Arcade titles New Generation and 2nd Impact.Which were both part of the Street Fighter III series.I think everybody know's about 3rd Strike. But both these Arcade games have had a cult status.Being never released on Home Consoles untill about 3 years later because of Capcom's CPS3 Hardware Technolgy which was very advanced back in 1997.Very few Capcom games used this Technolgy and it didn't really catch on.But luckily the Dreamcast finalliy got both these great fighters all for the price of one.Now both games are very simiar but in their own rencarnation very fun and still playable.New Generation has 10 Characters to choose from which include Ryu,Ken,Alex,Ibuki,Elena,Yun,Yang,Necro,Oro,Sean and Gill.2nd Impact also includes all of the characters but as an upgrade Akuma,Hugo and Urien were added to the Roster. While almost none of the roster is familar because some of their favorite Street Fighter II characters were taken out.I've grown to love some of the new fighters and you will like them as well. Now the gameplay for it's time was an advanced version of both the Alpha and II series. It was also very simple to Master with both Pros and Newcomers actully able to sit down and truley enjoy themselves.Featuring some of the best 2D Animation and Great gameplay it truley was a Marvel to see at the Time. The Super Combos from Super Street Fighter II and the Alpha series are also in this game but unlike in thoes games the combos were actully easy to pull off in this game with 2 Simple Rotations of the D-Pad and a push of the punch or kick button. The Locations are also nice with places like London,Kyoto Japan,Manhattan New York,Munich Germany,Moscow Russia,Brazil,Kenya and much more.A very diverse selection if I do say so myself. The music is also really good to with alot of Jazz tunes and nice beats to listen to as well.Overall Street Fighter III:Double Impact is a great fighting game to play on your Dreamcast. With 2 Games in 1 this will keep you busy and if you ever wanted to see the Roots of 3rd Strike this is your game.

If you must own a copy of Street Fighter III on your DC, this will suffice - but just barely.
