It usually is Ryu/Ken or Kazuya/Jin over and over and over; with a little Heihatchi/Hwoarang here and there, lol.

Funny, all I ever seem to get is Kazuya + Shoto teams

This is like complaining that dive and kick are picked all the time in divekick.

Ryu, Ken, Kazuya, Jin, Heihachi. One combo/trick with each. A winrar is you.

In general, it's just Shoto/Mishima over, and over, and over, and over again.

In my case it's Kazuya and Cammy... then Kazuya and Cammy... and Kazuya & Cammy all over again.

But the best part is when I need 2-3 hits to finish the fight and the 'Your Connection to Live has been lost' appears on the screen. F*** this country where I live and internet connection.

Every match I've played against players ranked B or higher has had at least one of Ryu, Ken, Cammy, Raven and Akuma. Of course, I use Kazuya/Jin, so people probably complain about me, too.

I never really noticed before how powerful it is in this game to have chainable light attacks (especially 3 frame ones). You don't even have to do links to hit confirm...and if you're anybody but Ken, your chained lights are like +2 or +3 on block

I hardly see any kens. Ryu is probably the best in the game, I don't blame people for using him.

There's a difference between using characters that can compete and using characters that are so blatantly overpowered that 95% of online ranked matches consist of them.

to be fair, Ken isn't really overpowered...Basically everything he has except air tatsu and switch canceling DP sucks (those 2 things just happen to be really, really good). His normals are hilariously bad, especially when compared to SSFIV

Plus imagine once people realize that you can alpha counter DP+Switch and hit both characters, and dash under + whiff punish air tatsu if it's going to be ambiguous. If it's not ambiguous you can just block, because Ken's buttons all suck for follow-ups. Ken is not very good at all.

    Ryu is boss though.

the problem I have is that the hitbox on Ken's air tatsu is so weird. Even if he does it like a full character length in front of you, and he's obviously in front of you, it still hits you in the back. Kind of like when Heihachi's j.HK will sometimes hit you in the back (cross up), but he still lands in front of you, or will hit you in front (non-cross up), but he lands behind you.

Obviously these situations will become easier to see with experience, but they're still very, very ambiguous and confusing. It doesn't seem like Ken's tatsu is very spacing dependent, because it kind of just hits you from anywhere. I don't see any reason why it should be +10 on block (and whatever it is on hit...+16 or something).

    Overpowered?

Either you don't know the meaning of the word or your perception of what is too good in a fighting game is limited.
