So I got bored and duplicated a whole list of 0 weighted bound armor, and then enchanted them all with the "damage stamina" effect. I reversed pick pocketed 3 of these items, into a NPC's inventory and the NPC equipped it! Now he's passed out on the ground.. I guess permanently. At least I can still engage him though, if I need to complete a quest or something.

This is how I effectively killed all the npc's once. Unkillable's got the hood/armour treatment, the guards all recieved posion apples and the rest were bladed.
