OMFG!!!!!!!!!
I made a sweet mage, and was getting everything i needed to get the emperors robes which was my dream, and my xbox breaks!!!!!
now any disk i put it it says "unplayable disk" and the system wont even take the disk onto the spinner to read it!
I was sooo close!!!!!!!!

Umm, I've never had a problem like that topnotch, so I'm afraid I don't know how to help. You should be able to loot the corpse normally and take off any gear you've equipped on them.
Also, that sucks to hear, fireworkcows. I threaten and ridicule my Xbox on a daily basis so it knows better than to screw with me any more than it already does. Hopefully something works out for you.

Am I already way too late to get the emperor's stuff? I'm collecting all those Mythic Dawn Books for the main quest. Was I supposed to get the robes before EVER talking to Jauffre?

the way to the emperors body becomes sealed off after you five the amulet to Jauffre or do that dark brotherhood quest where you kill Dreth
In other news, i need to send my xbox out to Microsoft to be repaired......again
I didnt expect it to break again after it had the red ring of death.

damn that sucks about your 360..I've had 2 red rings already and now I think the disk drive has some issues. If I am playing a game and I return to the dashboard, it makes a horrible grinding noise that scares the crap out of me. I think it scratched up my Oblivion disk and now I can never complete the mages guild on my new character because whenever I try to talk to the Skingrad Recommendation lady, it freezes. Every single time.

I have a question Sir Masterpug. I know that you stated that you cannot wield two Umbra's at the same time (or did I read incorrectly...?). Well I had an idea of how to get both the Masque and Umbra.
Well go to the ruins where Umbra takes residence. Kill her and take her sword. While you're there, make your Perma-Clone with Umbra equipped. since the Ruins will hold no importance. Now do all the steps and what not and leave the ruins. You're clone should follow you out, attempting to kill you. Cast a 'Control' spell on you're clone and proceed to the Statue of Clavinus Vile (?). Give him the Umbra that you have and obtain the Masque. Then kill your clone and take its Umbra.
Will that work my good Sir Masterpug?

No, Umbra can't be cloned in any way. Bethesda knew that the Skull of Corruption would be used like this and put a failsafe in the script of the Skull:

masterpug for some reason after i get my clone eqiuped with leading the clone to a city gate going in and back out making them equip the items. they wont let me take the armor off when i go to click on them!
so i can equip my clone but not un equip them .
i cant read anywhere in your fac about how to un equip your own clone once they are equiped with items

topnotch35 try putting other items to be euiped then try the city gate thing, they might unequip their previous gear and put on the gear you just gave them. (I think the gear you give them has to be better than the previous for them to unequip it)
Or, put some clothes in their inventory, and use armor disentigration spells. They might put on the clothes when their armor health is at 0.

Masterpug i need your help
as ive said in my previous posts i was able to make my clone andloot his body.
i did what you said and placed items on his corpse and then used the staff of worms to lead him to a city gate and go in and back out in order to make my clone equip the items . That did work. the problem is that once my clone is wearing the items i put on his corpse he will not let me open his inventory at all...i cannot even click on his corpse to open him up so i can add or take stuff out.
so does anyone know how to get back into the clones inventory after you use the city gate to make your clone equip items on him? Its weird that the city gate will let me make my clone wear items but then i lose access to his body inventory after he is equipped with items.
I dont know if it matters but before i made my clone i took off all my gear and made myself naked so that my clone would be easier to kill even though all my items wer ein the inventory.
I led my clone out of the cave and he only was using chillrend against me , i dont use potions so i jumped up on a rock and let a summon daedra wack away at my clone until my clone died. i didnt use your method i used a simple method and had my summon daedra kill my clone .

So you're trying to dress your clone? Well that makes more sense than having trouble with a regular corpse. I imagine your clone is reverting to its old status as, well, a clone, so you won't initially be able to get into it's inventory. Save, load a different save, and re-load - you should be able to get back in to your clone's inventory when you do this.

After getting the literally stupid reanimated body of Manimarco into Bruma today (he went totally invisible quite a bit, not because of an invisibility spell, just a glitch), I waited for 14 in game days and he never went away so I believe he is a perma body (dunno if his robe has to do with it or not). Thing is, guards will attack him on sight and I', not sure but I think if he kills a guard YOU will get the 1k fine. He could be used in any place with guards to make a clone of yourself, perma clone if you wanted. Alls you have to di is put the Skull in his inventory, reanimate him, silence him, and stand infront of him as the guards are going after him. This is also an easy way to make a clone of yourself so you can get it to drop a quest related item.

For anyone who saw how my xbox broke, over the weekend i opened it up having no clue what to do, and found out my hard drives motor was sticky and too dirty to spin, i lubed it up and it works great now!
I was about to have Microsoft fix it for $150 too!

Will the cloning glitch work on items like the great welkynd stone, or the great sigil stone so you could display them?
