If you can't understand why people are still playing this game, why do you want them to fix their PS3 issues? If YOU are not finished with the stock version of the game on PS3, why are you surprised that MODDERS are still playing new and unique versions on PC?
@jcuffley1209exactly. the mods improve the game and eery week or so i find a new mod that makes it better. it's like playing a game that improves itself all the time. its incredible. and if i happen to leave skyrim for a while, go to another game, finishes that game after a week or two and come back to skyrim - bam! tons of new stuff to see and do. there is almost nothing like that in the gaming industry. the more companies can allow such a thing - the better.
1 Like I'm not even a PC gamer and even I can see the mod community put way more effort in Skyrim for free than Bethesda's bs $20 Dawnguard nonsense.

goofy stuff, new armor and great houses are fun, but in the end no one ever developed a full, professional expansion to any elder scrolls game.
1 Like @GameYakuza I would like to see Bethesda challenge the modding community with a 20 hour expansion. We want and under water cave mermaid city we will give you 1 programer 1 writer and 6 months for 40% or the profit. There is a 50% chance it might work out and be really cool.
1 Like @deviant74 Its very difficult to mod something of a 20 hour expansion without endless of mazes and tunnels with no end in sight, people who builds mod are ordinary person with 3d, or game modding expertise, but they are neither staff of Bethesda nor actually receiving any sort of salary, only donation. They also have jobs and a social life to keep up with.
I recommended Nexus website , it may not be 100% user friendly, but hey you can find mods that not only greater in variety, you can even get mods that is not available and sometimes not "entirely" allowed on Steam, its your game, do whenever you want. I love Skyrim for its incredible wideness of endless possibility.

3 Like half of this is just valve stuff , beth should just have brought skyrim nexus CEO as everyone who knows skyrim serious modding knows that the good mods are there and not on the workshop
1 Like @dinosaur-123 I think a good thing about the Steam Workshop is the exposure it's given to people who would have otherwise never have the Nexus site. I myself prefer using Nexus, but not everyone may want to go out of their way to visit a third party website, then download a program like the Nexus mod manager, etc, etc. It probably deters the non-hardcore(ish) community from potentially experiencing those mods. I view the workshop as an even easier step towards accessing mods, which simply exposes mods to more people than before. I don't know the #'s on this, but I would very much like to think that with workshop, there are more people with mods running around Skyrim, and that perhaps even Skyrim Nexus' traffic has increased due to that.
@Falzonn Steam Workshop has an annoying 100MB limit though. This means that any major, major content mods and HD texture packs will only exist on Nexus.
@Falzonn Hehehe, you know Steam doesn't allowed certain mod in Steam Workshop right, not the ripped out copy but something else, you know what I meant, right XD
1 Like @dinosaur-123 Skyrim Nexus has the largest and some of the most amazing mods featured for Skyrim, bloody hell Steam is trying to promoted Skyrim mods months after the major success on Nexus, and only partial of the best content was featured on Steam :(

@Tripwolf Most people use Nexus probably.
Nexus was here for Morrowind and Oblivion, and was the biggest game in town for both of those ...

The Nexus Mod Manager
BOSS (sorting load order for far more stability)
Script Dragon and SKSE (added functionality for the game engine) There are some amazing mods that use these from a far better UI to autosave and extended hotkeys. Not to mention hundreds of other mods that use these features.
5 Like Except that the Nexus has been around for more than ten years, while the Workshop is still new. Besides, since Workshop doesn't support SKSE, you're missing half the experience of skyrim modding.
