Looks good I'm this happy it has nothing to do with characters in the books, or the movies to this point. Middle Earth is a big world to explore.

Not a big fan of Lord of the Rings games, but these guys are pretty good developers, and the fact that this has 3 player offline co-op and actually requires you to work together makes it a win in my books.

I'm looking forwards to this game. I haven't played a good LOTR game in a while.

I think this game may turn out to be similar to Dragon Age:Origins That's a good thing because i love DA:O

really interested with this so far, liked playing co-op LOTR: Return of The King, and this seems like it will be a really good co-op game as well. (and i like the idea of giving each character there owns special skills, which should make people work more closely as a team)

@ khimeron13 well apparently there finally in production of a hobbit film, i expect when that comes out then hobbit games will soon follow after.

I think it should be free roam the entire world of middle earth, and then just have whatever the main campaign is up in the north. I've always wanted to just run around Middle Earth, thatd be incredible. I just dont have the money and internet to play LOTRO :( I've been hoping for a Middle Earth RPG for ages im beyond excited!! Oh and I strongly agree with EchoEcho and all those guys. They just ruin the magic it makes me mad Conquest was terrible. Combat should def. not be like baldurs gate or dragon age or anything turn based, Lord of the Rings needs to be action and complete control, much like Two Worlds. Also, no MMO. Co-op would be amazing, but I hate MMO subscriptions, plus LOTR already has one. Wish it would come out sooner!!

@Cipher_8 -- Do you use AdBlock Plus? I've been using AdBlock for years, but just recently Gamespot's videos have stopped playing while it's turned on, so I'm forced to turn it off for this site. Kind of sad, but what can y'do. They want their ad revenue, and I guess I can't blame them.

Anybody else having trouble playing these videos from Gamespot? The little orange circle only loads 3/4ths of the way and then stops... yet youtube, ign, gametrailers, all the other sites videos work so it's not because i don't have the required software to play them.

The rights to Silmarillion haven't been signed out, so I doubt we're gonna see anything from that any time soon. Same with Children of Hurin. Any forthcoming games will be entirely based on the events of the Hobbit and the Ring Trilogy, as well as extrapolated stories surrounding them. @SneekyRatchet if you'd watched any of the trailers on this site instead of being a worthless troll you would know that this is based on a new story that was given all of 1 sentence in the books.
