Corsair Carbide Series 300r CaseI was just wondering about everybody's take on this game? Are any of you guys buying/pre-ordering this game after the beta weekend? I like this game so far, it has an original atmosphere and I like the classless system; reminds me of Skyrim. I am considering pre-ordering this game but not sure if I will have time to play it with the likes of Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2.
So if you can please comment on which one you voted and why, that would help everybody make an informative decision on this game.

I voted not sure but I like it so far, and I mean everything... well OK, they might wanna tweak the looks of the inventory and items' icons a bit.
I love that there are quest puzzles, kind of like in a single player adventure game. Quests are great. Writing is great. World design is top notch (so far). That freaking island is packed with content.
They might also wanna consider adding stuff like hidden lootable "treasure" containers in the open world. Something like those yellow lore thingies

I wish they would put in character leveling. That is kinda killing it for me.

Everything seems quite interesting and the game provides a very unique mmo experience, however the combat just feels too... generic. It seems as if that's the only thing that's killing it for me. It's too much point and click and a clunky version of the point and click system at that. SWTOR did point and click right imo, so I think they should refine their current system or maybe even change combat to a TERA like system which I doubt they will do.
The atmosphere, voice acting, atmosphere, quests, and writing are all very fun though!

I know its still a beta but...
what am I doing...where am I going? what is the point of the cutscenes?
why is the combat so lame?
why are the character voice overs so incredibly cheezy?
why did I have such high hopes for this game?

[/QUOTE] Well, it's pretty much in the game, isn't it? I mean, you get experience points and when you get enough you're able to add a point to pop into a skill or unlock a talent. It's levelling without saying "you are level 5". I'm on the "Don't know" fence for this. I really enjoyed the beta. The graphics aren't great and the combat is a non-event, but the atmosphere is awesome. Kingsmouth felt like a town out of control and under seige. The writing is very clever and I can already see how the 3 different factions storylines will overlap and how NPC's interact with with you depending on who you're with. I also love the investigation quests and searching for clues online. But I'm still not sure if it's the game for me. I guess it depends on the payment scheme. If it's a monthly sub, then I'll probably play for the 1st month and see how it goes. But I can't see me paying continually for this.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

Exactly my thoughts. This just seems to be yet another Funcom delusion of Ragnar Tornquist who must surely be the most self appreciating developer since John Romero. Ragnar actually KNOWS whats fun for the rest of us, he doesnt need to study other games, or listen to players or even learn from MMO history, he just KNOWS. The game is not only very little fun, its a chore to play. Far from re-inventing MMO's it simply masks the exact same gameplay elemnts, poorly executed, under some different names. But anyway its bound to be a huge success because Ragnar said it would be.

Played 2 betas and even if i like more fantasy rpg/mmo types i must say the game is pretty good.Specially the "lvling" system and how you choose your skills.Another good point was questing, some really put your brain at work.But...i wont buy it.I dont like games with factions much, one will always be weak and in the end majority moves to the "good" one.Games with factions are always unbalanced.Second..i heard of this game 2 years ago, lucky i followed them on fb,one news in 3-4 months reminded me "oh you're still alive?".Now they launch in middle of sharks as D3,Gw2 and Tera for asian mmo likers.I already bought D3 and GW2 so no time left for it..or money.I'm sorry to say it but is a really bad year to launch.
P.s you should have added a "no" in the pool.

- May 19, 2012 11:24 pm GMTThis game bored me to death. The story and setting that most seem fond of I found to be a gumbo of flavors that don't work together. Was looking forward to a shooter mmo of sorts but this aint it for me. The combat was the most disappointing part of it all and simply not fun...

Call me cheap, but I am not a big believer in pay to play games, so if it wasnt I would play for sure, but knowing now that I have to pay to play....forget it. Otherwise it was a pretty interesting game overlooking the flaws.

One day someone will actually put the RPG in MMOs
I love everything about the game except the combat system. The skill system is one of the best I've seen in an MMO (besides Matrix Online), I love the no levels, I love the setting and lore, I love the concept of having three factions fight over actual in game territory for global domination, I love the puzzle quests. The clunky, slow combat system is killing it though. If this game had TERA's combat system and everything else from TSW it would be a really great game. Alas, the combat system is really slow, clunky and just feels old. Dream mmo would be the skiill system from this game run on the Arkham City engine.- Please wait. I haven't pre-ordered yet, but I chose buying at launch. Need a new computer first, and I will get it latest at launch.
Why am I buying? Whole new skill-system (I think PvP will be particularly interesting), new and interesting mythology, amazing to look at (best graphics I've seen in MMO, including GW2).

I played the beta, won't be buying it. Felt very clunky, like others have said, and not much fun. I like the idea behind the game, the execution is not good though.

It's got an EA Logo on it, so no.
If you buy it you deserve what you get. We're talking about EA here, enjoy paying a premium price then paying an indie price for about 2 or 3 months max before you unsubscribe, or if you don't unsubscribe, enjoy watching all your friends vanish as the world slowly dies in the lead up to GW2.
