Just for the info, the solution to the second riddle is Pierre-Eugène Ducimetière but access is denied after that.
4 Like Listen i thought id shed some light on the details of this video as the majority of people likely have no idea what is going on....
First off this is NOT a promotional trailer in the standard sense and to be frank its a bit irresponsible of Gamespot to still have this up on the website...
This video was produced exclusively for people who partook in FUNCOMs prelaunch ARG game (alternate reality game). It consisted of a hand full of VERY hard and well thought out riddles / puzzles spanning across multiple real and fake websites (fake as in FUNCOM set up the domains themselves and fancied them to look like real websites) and also a series of highly detailed flash sites.
The initial clue that started all of this was via an email that FUNCOM sent out to all people who had registered and partook in "The Secret War" the facebook / social network event. I forget the details of it all but i recall them getting directed to this video.
Upon completion of the first puzzle, it branched off to continous puzzles with other Videos sequel-ing the one above and is as far as i know, are no longer viewable... it was a very elaborate month long internet riddle that was incredibly engaging. The game can no longer be played as it has come to an end.. and FC has already awarded the players who deciphered it with in game permanence, free copy of the game, signed posters ect...
If your able to solve the first part you will hit a wall that says access denied which during the ARG beling live, led you to the second video and so forth.
Again gamespot should take this video down as it no longer does any good to those trying to get in the game and would only confuse them as this is really not a current trailer for the games release in any capacity

maybe i'm seeing things for no good reason, but i saw the eighth Mersenne prime number somewhere on a clue i followed...which also looks like a phone number from somewhere in texas.
also, k. mitnick looks to be kevin mitnick, a famous hacker. i was looking at the wiki page on him and saw a picture of him and 2 friends, and it looked familiar. i want to say i had read a previous article on stuxnet and that picture was in it, but i can't find it. interesting.
So I went to the site, entered 33, got the little mini game and passed it now I'm at some journal with a DOS type set up asking for user info and a really long password, any ideas?

1 Like From what I've seen in gameplay, I can safely say the storyline is crap. The whole idea the game is following is brilliant and new, but they could've done it a lot better. A LOT better. I was just sad, really. I was waiting for this game to come out. I was going to buy it happily if they managed a good job. Unfortunately, they didn't.
THIS trailer was a lot like the things I'm trying to refer to. It was cheap, stupid and annoying, like the storyline, screen writing, character creation, and pretty much the general method they used to make it. They had a great idea, they've obviously put in a lot of work and effort into it, but it still turned out so cheap.

This was horrible btw, don't make a 5 second clip of a cute girl and tell us "Go to the site!!" Put actual stuff in your trailer. Bad marketing is bad.

I played the first beta and un-installed after about 30 mins - the fighting (for me) felt remote and repetitive although the atmosphere was good. Got a email stating major things had improved and tried the 2nd beta, apart from blood splat felt the same.
I now get very paranoid of any games designer who doesn't show hardly any game play but harps on how cleaver the upgrade and skills section is. Man did I get bitten by SWTOR which show nothing bud good quality video scenes (shame it wasn't a film instead of a robotic grind feist).
Each to there own and i'm sure loads of people will love it but for me compared to SWG / WOW / Tera & GW2 this one is a remote feeling engine 2006 style game.
I did Still was not long enough forme to be impressed. There's potential, but it didi not have enough time to truly show it.
1 Like @zinoalex If you really watched the whole trailer you would have known by now that the game is giving you a preview of the game. Just watch carefully, it will bring you tons of fun. :)
1 Like WOW a 24 second trailer. Why even try? Next 8 times you go to the crapper take an extra 3 seconds and wipe. You will get more out of that than you would this trailer. Which is -crappy(?)
Most of the good things about this game have already been mentioned but I think I should add this too.
I've played during open beta weekend and the thing I liked the most was that then I was doing quests I was leveling up fast enough so that I would not feel the need to go and grind to level up also even tho some quests were just simple go there kill that missions but the quests had enough story in them to make it feel necessary or/and important.

1 Like i played a couple of the early open betas... it had A LOT of rough edges but some of that could already be fixed by launch.. hopefully... while it does follow some of the generic mmo formula, it does a lot of original things as well. i dont know about you guys but im completely burnt out on goblins and elves for awhile... that being said, i think the premise for the games story is really cool. and the combat and game mechanics were slightly fresh compared to other things that are currently out. had a very dark and evil feel to the game which i also liked. another thing that some others mentioned as well is the fact that you really gotta think and explore in order to get through some quests and solve mysteries. if your tired of ur current mmo this is definitely worth checking out imo

If all it requires is enough thinking to realize how annoying it's marketing is, then I doubt anyone will be too stupid to play it :)
@LitterBoxHero I give you a clue on how smart you have to be...remember the rune and the number 33, go to the website and type in the number...anywhere
