WarZ seems more polished. DayZ is more challenging though. Can't wait to see both finished products.
Love how the Red dot stays in one place while the gun sways back and forth, very realistic

Looks interesting. Can't wait until it's further into development. Excited to see what improvements they will do, or what the will add to it if they do add more content.
slow zombies = boring target practice to me.the audio seems muted ,no zombie moans or screams...almost bought this until i watched the trailer......definitely not now it looks like a boring waist of time....Day Z sucks because well its ARMA graphics and controls so you know its more like a PS2 game..lol horrible graphics and audio = zzz's yawn
They should have just put the zombies in wheel chairs as slow as they move ...how did they get everything right and then screw up something so fundamental to a awesome zombie experience.

1 Like From what i see dayz is a cool mod if just own ArmaII ... but bad animations, bah melee system and lack of buildable or interactive enviroment makes that game just a drop in the ocean.
On the other side warz ... is interesting, a persistent world, buildable an intercative environment(as declared i'm waiting to try the beta) and so on makes this game an interesting tryout.
Btw even warz melee animation need a lot of work ... and more blood and gore but at the moment is better than dayz.
This is my opinion, from what i saw .. Now i need to play at least warz :D
@virus10101 Day Z is being remade into a real game, not just a mod. THe worst parts of the game "bugs, etc." are gonna be gone, and who knows how else they'll improve it.

This is Alpha, the before beta derp.
And this was in development before Day Z, I love it how many people simply fail at the internet.
By "in development" you mean "thought of." They hardly did any work on this and it was essentially abandoned until Day Z brought more attention to the concept. Day Z was a huge success and they just came out and were like "Hay check out our War Z we're making" with nothing to show but some incredibly generic shooting mechanics and incredibly simple zombie AI.
1 Like this really needs some good sound design. All i hear are his footsteps and gunshots. It need ambient noises if its going to be immersive. You know, sounds like the wind and trees and bugs, all the things you hear when strolling through the countryside. (And of course, the growns and moans of the roaming undead)
2 Like @Epicurus-Reborn I believe war z is currently in alpha. Things such as sounds, textures, animations and such will be added in later as development continues.

Hmm... DayZ does it better lol. I thought Bohemia was doing the production and development of this but apparently not. this will flop.

I have also noticed a strange glitch in this game that occurs when shoot zombies at the head.
Glitch!? You mean the zombies aren't supposed to jump 6 feet in the air (and then die) when they get capped?
@gamefreak215jd Check out, DayZ and see it for yourself, they say it was develop before dayZ but is a lie, we can see this because of this new trailer, show a lot of copy
the sound needs to be overhauled, it doesnt make a noise when u hit ppl with the torch, looks really buggy at the moment
I love how they claim this ISN'T a DayZ ripoff and that they were in development before hand and its all coincidences blah blah blah are you kidding me? This is exactly the same as DayZ except it looks terrible. Ill wait for the DayZ standalone while I play DayZ mod and this BS can get the ignoring it deserves.
1 Like @Dareitus Except this game will accommodate way more players, on a faster timeline. More people working on the project, several ways to play (there is actual coop play, not just shooting any random person in the face and safe zones to store stuff, etc). DayZ is only for people who like spending many hours on nothing to be frustratingly hardcore. Then get shot in the face by some one yelling I'M FRIENDLY BRO.
Its almost for sure that The War Z (yes they were in development first) stole things after DayZ's launch but in its current state, its already massively better than DayZ, and moving at a faster pace of fixing bugs and adding features. So in the end, I don't care if they stole something or ripped it off. Since the finished product is infinitely better.
@colt_a @Dareitus You don't know if they're working at a faster pace fixing bugs. Day Z was one fucking dude. Now he has a company to work with for the standalone. And it clearly is in no way "massively" better. Even if you did have the time machine necessary to make that claim, I wouldn't believe you. The shooting mechanics look CoD awful (See what I did there?), and the beauty of a game like this is it doesn't break the fourth wall. I don't want to be able to take magically acquired missions and I especially don't want the game to push those on me, the player interaction should be natural. War Z just wants to turn my zombie apocalypse into a zombie playground, I'll stick with the big kid game.
2 Like Somebody tell me ... please this isn't DayZ standalone :( - 1. Zombies are just walkers = 0 fear ( we want Walking dead hordes ) 2. I've seen Scooby doo episodes with more drama 3. the Graphics aren't bad but the gameplay... Jesus
