Odd indeed, this scarcity of comments. XBOX360 users must find it too hard to comment to bother. PC users interested in the game will have already watched the review of the original edition. That and most will probably not think to visit the 360 page and find the review for the enhanced edition there.
This is the edition I am playing, but on the PC. Recently upgraded PC lets me play this beaut' with pretty much everything maximized. There's no slowdowns, save for when there's too many animations and effects, such as when Aryan puts the torch to a load of barrels. That was too much fire for my rig to handle on maximum. That was the only time I recall a significant slowdown and even then it wasn't unplayable. Otherwise, however, not a hitch. Although, there are more or less often visual glitches that resemble screen tearing. I have v-sync enabled, so it mustn't be that. Whatever it is, it doesn't bother muchly. The occasional crash, on the other hand...

This game felt intimidating to get used to, when I first started the tutorial. Now I'm on chapter 1 and, as expected, the practice since has left me mostly at ease with the game by now. Got the hang of the movement, the physics, of the combat, the inventory, character menu, alchemy, the stash, pretty much got it all nailed. Enjoyment can only increase now. So far, it has proven a true improvement over the original Witcher, in all accounts.

Great kudos to the polacks who produced this piece.

One of the best games of all time, and one of the most difficult RPGs this gen.

I played the normal edition last year on my pc and all I can say is that it's one of the greatest RPG games that Iv'e ever played. I know there are some people who complain about the magic mechanics but they must remember that the magic isn't a whole gameplay mechanic on it's own. It's meant to assist the swordplay, not overshadow it.

The new 'The Demavend Assassination' movie at the start was worth the price of admission alone, that was a damn AWESOME FMV! Go CD Projeck Red! You are the bomb!
