The first experience I got with this game was watching my brother play it who had just gotten it for Christmas. It started out with you as Jack Skellington beating up skeletons that had just attempted to end his life. The action looked surprisingly entertaining as per all the other reviews I'd heard of the game. You could do normal whips at them or grab the eneimies and slam them into the ground multiple times. This dosn't sound very varied I know but its the combination of them. Whip, Whip, Grab, Slam, Slam, Slam. There dead. It's very fast paced. Then you go to a boss battle. You whip and collect little music notes for what? Suddenly the game slams you into a You Got Served match with the boss. Sounds strange, but it's and interesting concept. Pressing the buttons at the right time leads to combos, the more combos you have, the more damage your little jig does to the boss. Now that I've nailed down that concept, I have to give you the negatives. Throught the game, we hear the sound track from the movie which has been a huge favorite of mine. Eventually however the tracks get repetitive and you lose interest in hearing them. Also combat does come up far too often to be enjoyed and lack of variety in enemies doesn't lead to much in the way of styrategies. I suggest this game to anyone who loved the movie. It stays very true to the subject matter and offers replay value and rewards for scoring higher on seperate missions. Also interestingly enough, It seems to me to play like Devil May Cry, for a 10 year old.

I've reduced .5 for the annoying gameplay and another.5 for the ridiculously hard difficulty.everything else is perfect!

Although extremely short, Oogie's revenge can be pretty entertaining at times.
