Check out the E3 2012 trailer for Tomb Raider.
This looks more like "Island Survivor" than "Tomb Raider," but that can also be a good thing, too. We will just have to wait and see.
It truly is an Uncharted rip off.Instead of evolving the character and giving her new challenges they just tailored the game to what they think gamers would like to play. Tomb Raider at its core is about raiding tombs and solving puzzles and mysteries. Now its like Crystal Dynamics is trying too hard to keep the character and the series relevant by making the game more action than adventure by taking ideas from a series (Uncharted) that basically used Tomb Raider as a Blue Print..
Idon't like what I see since it looks so scripted.
I heard it was open world now I'm not so sure.
I like what is free-form but hate what is scripted.
Hope this game will keep its gameplay mechanics from previous Tomb Raider games. No maps, Bag pack, hints, Baller guns and not to mention acrobatic maneuvers. :-D
Wow I've haven't had a trailer make such an impact on me in a long time, and that's including trailers of game franchises I always play. I haven't looked at tomb raider in years. I think that speaks to how epic this game looks.
Looks great. can't wait. From what I've seen she really gets her ass handed to her over and over eh. I think in the first stage demo of this alone she'd have broken every bone in her body. haha.
Same ol', same ol'. Each time a certain game becomes really popular then all other games of a similar genre are a rip-off. If that is the case then all COD franchise is a MOH ripoff, Dead Space is a ripoff of System Shock, all zombie games since Resident Evil are ripoffs, etc., etc. Fanboys.
seems amazing , and one of the best titles to come and maybe the best tomb raider ever ??? ... but lara's whining voice are bothering me , and the graphics while great seems to have dropped in quality from what i saw a couple of month ago ... or is it only because it's turning on a xbox or something ...
Loved the first Tomb Raider made, but didn't care for the others. This one looks to be as great as the original! Cannot Wait!
Getting this game. I used to love the old tomb raider games, looks like an exciting reboot. Great new direction
I love how all these people that are saying uncharted rip off but uncharted was actually a rip off from the old tomb raider games and they just made it a male and made the graphics and gameplay better. So get your facts straight...
So. I guess we are not advanced enough to have her hair move actually. Other than her ponytail I mean. How do you suspend upside down with your hair in your face?
Looks good. Would have been much more impressed if I wasnt thinking of how much this resembles Uncharted throughout the entire video. Rip off with a capital R! Not that thats necessarily a bad thing
I'll be watching the development of this title very closely, I hope they get it right. Early indications look promising!
Come on Lara!
@TangoGamer Actually, it's the other way around: Drake was the male Lara... and Lara was the female Indiana.
@Jag85 well, i know it's a cycle, but lara wouldn't see many cliffhangers before drake, lara used to search for keys and solve puzzles, i would like to see that lara again some day.............
