Build your own character and battle in 10 multiplayer maps in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
Holy ****!!! We can actually make our own Cybertronian? Kick @$!!!!
you know what would be really cool for multi-player?
it would be cool if players could combine with other players to form a bigger robot.
What sucks is that after the movies and the umpteen tv series I finally get an interest and a good idea of the whole story after Transformers Prime. And yes I would hope you can create your own Transformer after understanding the nature of Transformers. I will say though that this looks very good albeit a game about nothing but robots. I hope it has a full cadre of RPG elements including monetary system, ranks and classes, purchasable upgrades and power ups, vehicles and so on. Based on what I would consider the most plausible take on the story, Transformers for game purposes are stock characters that happen to be robots.
Definite buy for me!!! Loved the first one... here's hoping pre-ordering on Steam gives you the first (I had it on Xbox... and sold it... now I miss it!)
@fatee or Tom McShea, he gave the original game a 6.5
I'm looking forward to this game. I loved the first game, and having the different types of transformers really mixes things up when playing multiplayer. I mean, generally speaking I suck at standard multiplayer matches (cod, halo, ect) But in this game I can be a light transformer class, taking pot shots from behind my buddy who is a walking tank, then burn rubber (or hover pads in this case) at the first sign of trouble. Or dive-bomb in a jet then melee them from above when i miss. I think this is the area where Transformers beats the standard shooters. I'm not all about the MP tho, will play the singlepayer mode first! ;-)
@DeadManRollin Yeah, i came a little late, started watching the re-runs in the early 90's, (was born in '86), But i kinda know what ur talking about. Was an awsome show. Just wanna say tho, I watched Beast Wars, which came later, I think about 95-96. That blew my mind, since I was 10 and it was the first 3d animated show I had ever watched.
The game looks pretty good but the textures look shockingly flat. The light isn't reflecting well. A minor quip as the models still look good overall.
Still looks like a game I'm going to pick up at some point.
That doesn't look much like G1 Optimus, Revenge of the Fallen is still best TF game available for G1ers like me.
The multiplayer could be so great, but instead it looks like an exact copy of the last games multiplayer
@fatee Yep I agree with you there also. It kind of seems to me like reviewing in general has become much more critical then it once was, or way too generous and dishing out 10/10. Personally I think I'll be happy with this game regardless, seeing as I loved the first game both sp and mp, but it would be nice to see it get at least an 8/10. Having said that, there are a ton of games that i can think of that have recieved 7.5 or less that I found really fun. Duke Nukem Forever is a good example for me. I dont think it got the best of reviews, and to be honest i didnt expect it would, yet I enjoyed the game and never regretted buying it...
@nathan24jack According to many review the game which receives 9 or 10 it should have a good story line, graphics, good combat, no glitches, what ever. for me a game which is fun and engaging is a good game. this transformers is a really good game I have enjoyed a lot not only me lot of other GS guys enjoyed a lot so I am sure this game to get a 7.5 or 7 if its reviewed by him not more then that.
his comments will be like below.
even though the game has excellent graphics and a engaging game. The story line and linear combat system and the same multiplayer are the reason for 7 or 7.5. whatever brother I will bye this game any how :D
@fatee I agree with you
The first 2 Transformer games were sorely missing customization/upgrades/progression. How can you have a game that revolves around robots and hi-tech science with no customization/upgrading? The Transformers game for the PS2 had tons of upgrades, and it's no coincidence that it was the best Transformers game I've played. Very glad to see this release will have them. Only question though: were those upgrades for the SP too or only MP? If there's no upgrades for the SP campaign, I'll be highly annoyed...
This looks even better than the first game but I have to admit wont probably last very long like the first did, it just cant compete against games like Halo.
This game looks sick with the customization. This is everything the first game should have been. I can't wait to get it.
@rudyv30 In order to get the skins u must pre-order it from gamestop. You get G1 Megatron/Gun, Shockwave/Canon only in single play mode and Optimus/Truck in multiplayer and single player mode.
